#Religion and #capitalism are both dependent on solipsism, and people are heavily invested in both so they're not going to let those institutions fail, but they may change drastically. We'll need a smart, intellectual #President to guide us through the change and the first action should be to expand the #SCOTUS.

The Supreme Court is no longer a legitimate part of the judicial branch. It is now an instrument of the radical right.
I personally run a risk-weighted investment algorithm, a couple others in my group run more optimistic scenarios; one is #conservative#Republican the other considers 'pop-culture' weighted scenarios.
We're all over the place we can't reach a convergence. I'm shutting mine down tomorrow for the boycott anyway.
We expect the government to shut down on Saturday and we expect the #SCOTUS ruling on the #tariffs on Fri., Feb. 20. We expect 6 justices are basically looking for legal ways to keep all the tariffs in place at this point they are wholly corrupt. The divergence occurs after that.

I want to see accountability as much as the next Democrat but I also understand how much power is vested in the US Senate and how Republicans are protecting Clarence Thomas and themselves from within that body.
Nothing will change until Democrats take an overwhelming majority and then pass law to end lifelong appointments, placing term limits on all future federal appointments.
Finally, 3 more judges must be added to #SCOTUS after the 2028 election.

Why did a federal court nix the Texas Republicans' mid-decade gerrymander? Democracy Docket reports that it's due to a Department of Justice letter that specifically frames its demands for redistricting around race, which is unconstitutional. “Far from seeking to ‘rectify racial gerrymandering,’ the DOJ Letter urges Texas to inject racial considerations into what Texas insists was a race-blind process,” Trump-appointed Judge Jeffrey V.
