The second is riots, by small groups of people in cities, followed by some, targeting police, mosques, government buildings and religious places and attacking the police to ignite a riot.

The strange thing about this map is that the most protests are in the west and southwest of Iran, exactly the same places that were the targets of Israel's attacks in the 12-day war, and where most of the important missile sites are located.
Despite massive social media push, the current protests in Iran are 2 completely different protests.
1- protest by the Bazaar and shop owners in Tehran and other major cities in response to hyper inflation and corruption.
2- Riots in small towns mostly initiated by organized groups attacking government/police buildings to force regime to react and use that to initiate mass protests.
The second groups are not big and don't have much public support.
