I saw this Red-eared Slider sitting on a pile of dead reeds in the wetlands, and it appeared to be smiling. Was it happy to be out sunning, or was it enjoying the new feather it was sporting on its head? ;-)

Иногда меня (и не только) спрашивают: почему ты советуешь Mastodon? У нас ведь тут столько всего замечательного!

Ну давайте я расскажу одну историю.

Захожу я на shitpost.poridge.club. Уже не помню зачем, кстати.

В вижу там ОТВРАТИТЕЛЬНЫЕ ШРИФТЫ. Забываю, зачем туда зашёл и начинаю думать: "ну неужели в Misskey такие отвратительные шрифты?".
Вспоминаю, что знаю другой инстанс Misskey, где можно это проверить и иду туда - на quietplace.

Открываю его в своём браузере, где иногда напрямую захожу на страницу к @blue . Вместо главной вижу по-моему на смеси английского, катаканы и кандзи (не заскриншотил) ошибку о том, что мне надо срочно чистить кэш в браузере (ЕМНИП, у Misskey есть сервис-воркеры для браузера и они постоянно протухают). Ну ладно - жму CTRL+F5 чтобы обновить страницу целиком.

Открывается главная и показывает TypeError вместо контента.

Ладно, мне лень чистить все данные по домену или разбираться какого хуя у них сломалось - открою в другом браузере.

Запускаю Firefox, открываю главную Quietplace.

Главная открывается, я начинаю пытаться её листать, а она - не листается. Через пару секунд я понимаю, что главная просто подвесила Firefox (как минимум его вкладку). Секунд через 10 она размораживается и пролистывает то, что я успел накрутить колесом.

Короче, если всё ещё непонятно почему я по дефолту советую Mastodon - я умываю руки 🙌

Okay, so it's just like Yubikey-type stuff? I've thought about that before but it seems very risky - they recommend you get two and set both of them up so you have a backup, but that would require all websites to support that, right?

Pretty much. I suppose that's a very real disadvantage to using physical passkeys. If you lose it, unless you have multiple passkeys configured, or have access to an account recovery method, you lose that account.

But, like you mentioned, using Bitwarden would sidestep that issue, and they do support passkey emulation.

I automated the changelog and release process with some , and submitted to the Asset Library, so it's more or less ready to go! I hope to share the asset store link soon, but for now, the github is here: https://github.com/russmatney/log.gd

Example usage of several Log.pr and Log.prn calls, and an example class implementation that opts-in to pretty printing via to_printable(). Typical godot primitives and collection types are handled by default.

Example output of several `Log.pr` and `Log.prn` calls. The pretty printer adds a script-name and line-number prefix to each log, and colorizes everything in it based on type - this includes handling for built-in types like Vector2s, and opt-in handling for your own objects.
