"Alley Guys" is what Hank named their beer so this is the foursome ship name to me 😊 I'm glad Dale has very good friends so he doesn't go full Unabomber.

The same alley guys, but 25 years later so they're all middle aged and balding and fat. Dale smiles while only Bill and Boomhauer kiss him on either side of his bald head. Dale says "Yayy<3" while Boomhauer says "Dang ol' MWAH!". Hank is in the background holding a beer can, nervously smiling while saying "Uh, yep. It's that kind of party".

This is middle aged man yaoi (NOT old man yaoi, they're only 40 here. And only 50 in s14.. they gotta be 55+ and getting AARP benefits to be oold ) BUT this too is yuri to me.

I'm not joking. Gal pals can hold hands and hug and kiss and maybe even go on dates when they're kids. But they are expected to grow out of showing affection for their friends once they're outta high school and have to get hetero married. You can call them your "girl friends" but not your "girlfriend" in this joker society....

SIGH Hank used to be a lot more openly emotional 🥺 I love seeing the life stages of a caterpillar to butterfly!!! I LOVE YAOI!!!

Also name orders:

Dale->Boomhauer->Bill->Hank

Hank is the mom friend and the womb friend AND also the one least willing to make yaoi 😀 yayyy for stoic ukes

I really <sarcasm>love</sarcasm> how Windows lets me set a date and time for restarting after updates and then completely ignores my instructions and restarts earlier and wipes out work I was doing.

Microsoft's contempt for its customers is boundless.

This is one reason I do most of my computing on a Linux machine...

The responsibility for faulty software in microsoft products (as in Apple products — but that’s another matter) lies with its products development all the way down from the manager’s desk to the code monkey working on a call function. This is not to disparage all software developers because all of the good one will readily acknowledge that their industry is not replete with excellent coders (the reasons vary and are multitudes). It’s no different from any other ‘production’ runs, whether kitchen appliance, vehicles or aircrafts. The difference is microsoft is so big it doesn’t give a fig about its ‘captured’ market.

I woke up to a comment so smug, so perfectly soaked in gatekeeping and faux-righteous posturing, it earned its own blog post.
You want freedom? You want GNU/Linux to mean something?
Then maybe start by not telling disabled users to go fuck themselves with a smile.
This commenter thought they were defending "software freedom." What they were really doing was kicking people out of the room. Dismissing accessibility. Mocking effort. Pretending that cruelty is some kind of rite of passage. They quoted Stallman like it was scripture, ignored real-world experience like it was noise, and wrapped it all in condescension dressed as virtue.
I’ve spent over a decade in this ecosystem. Writing patches. Rebuilding broken stacks. Helping blind users boot systems upstream doesn’t even test. I didn’t "just install Arch and whine about the terminal." I lived in it. I survived it. I held it together when maintainers disappeared and no one else gave a damn.
But apparently, because I didn’t call it GNU/Linux™ and because I dared to talk about how this OS chews people up and spits them out, I’m lazy. I’m weak. I should "get a dog."
So I wrote a response. Line by line. No mercy. No euphemisms.
This isn’t just about one comment. This is about every time someone’s been told they don’t belong because they couldn’t learn fast enough, code well enough, or survive long enough. It’s about everyone who was pushed out while the gatekeepers patted themselves on the back for "preserving the spirit of free software."
You want a free system? Start by making it livable. Because freedom that demands you crawl bleeding through a broken bootloader isn’t freedom. It’s abandonment dressed in ideology.
And if this kind of gatekeeping is your idea of community?
You can keep it.
