The Demon's Apple is a Dark Fantasy otome game with mature content.
Pomme is the village herbalist and during one of her outings to pick up herbs used to create medecine she find a badly wounded man and take him home to try to save his life. She then discovers he is a demon, bloodthirsty creature as he bites her to feed himself before escaping.
But they meet again... And this time they will have to cooperate to survive in a world hostile to both humans and demons.

It's the bad, but not so bad ending, which is one of the most difficulte to get. you must get his answer right but not to much. I'll write a walkthrough soon if you don't succeed in getting it.
Wow. This was a ride, in a good way.
I'll start with the pros. This ADV is really good for its price. Styx being a tan boy was what drew me in. I enjoyed his personality and dynamic with Pomme greatly, and seeing them bond. His sprite work and CG were...yum. Would've liked a bit more private parts showing as this was advertised as an 18+ game but personal preference.
Pomme (I don't change MC's name in ADVs) had a personality that worked well for the situation. I like my headstrong MCs but if she was written that way here, the story wouldn't have worked.
This ADV also made use of scene direction beyond the RenPy defaults a lot of western ADVs over rely on.
And for the cons. The biggest issue was the portrayal of the Knight. What he did to Pomme was more mild than what Styx did. Yet the Knight is overwhelmingly portrayed as the antagonist in the narrative. Ultimately that hurt the impact of the conflict.
The normal ending was harder to get than the best ending. This has apparently been rectified, but my review is based on the build I played.

First, The story should have been spicier but I toned it down because of recent issue with Itch on adult content and to avoid getting banned in some countries on Steam ! I undestand how it wasn't enough though !
As for the knight I understand you see it as a con ! I could maybe have improved things a bit but I wanted to express how the reasons behind their behavior is what make them an antagonist. knight is heavily implied being a serial rapist abusing his power while Styx while violent is acting out of fear and survival instinct. He never acted out of pure malice. While it doesn't make him innocent in any way Pomme could relate to this because she felt the same way as he did when she faced the knight that's why she forgave him more easily. The issue is probably my writing but I wanted to express my feeling while writing better in hope that it would bring you a new light on the story.
In any way I'll do my best to improve. in the meantime thank you for you support once again it means a lot
how do i do the ends i only got one..
Everything depends on how well Styx like your choice, if you only got the good ending that means you usually have to make choice that he would dislike ! I didn't plan a walkthrough but if you don't get the other endings I'll try do one !
I played all the endings, I really loved the story and the romance that brewed between them. Amazingly done and such a good price for the high quality!

Just finished the game! I absolutely adored it, the visuals are wonderful and the world building is so fascinating. I wish I could have more time in this story! I've only gotten two of the endings though, not sure what choices I'd have to make to get the third, as well as the last image in the gallery...any hints?
I'm sooo happy you loved the game and the world building, there is so much I want to tell about their world that isn't in the game!
It's actually the hardest one to get, you actually have to be well liked by Styx, but not enough for you to get the happy ending, you must have 7 or 8 love point with Styx, but I'll have to push a new update tonight so I will lower the difficulty !

The price will be slightly higher to compensate for the higher fees on the Steam platform (10.99usd). That said, if you are from a country that pays VAT on itch it will be cheaper since on Steam VAT are already in the price.
If you're worried about Steam Keys I'll personally distribute them once I announce the complete release so you should have it before it even releases just be sure to use an email you're still using to pay if you want to preorder it.

If you want the game you can either download it from itch or Steam when it releases ! It shouldn't ask for a powerful pc to run the game.

Once again, another banger from Kakera. Art is absolutely stunning, from sprites to CGs to backgrounds to UI, like what do you mean you drew this all alone. I love the addition of little manga panels.
Pomme is my cutie potato, I love her. Styx is hot as hell (badum tss). I went from wanting to strangle him to crying over his cuteness T_T. I am rooting for them hard, their personalities match so well.
BUT my favorite character is of course the knight. No, not "Knight", the other knight who protected Pomme from the flirting. He is very fine, he stole the spotlight with no sprite and two lines of description. Perfection.
Y'all better preorder so we can beg Kakera for his sprite <3

There are a couple little mistakes in the character descriptions, I do not know about the demo, but since these work as the front page for your advertising it might be good to go over them again. (like for the knight: hunting demonS (plural) and for Pomme: she always TRIES to see the best in people)
I have a proofreader for the game (I'm not english native) but yeah I'm doing everything else alone ! I will correct these mistakes thank you !
A really lovely game! Spicy and interesting, I love the dynamic between Styx and the MC, it really leads itself to a really cool set up to a romance and he's absolutely gorgeous. It's also such a beautiful game with great art! I'll be super excited to see the full game!!
