It's all about trying to set things up in a flexible way to account for different possible placement orders. If you could choose the tiles, you'd plan it all out from the start and there'd be no challenge at all! Yes, there is luck involved, but the challenge is to figure out how to ensure you can win regardless.

Great implementation, and the included level packs are excellent!

Yep, there are always exactly enough tiles to get 125 points maximum!

Fun puzzle! It really stumped me for a while until I improved my line technique.

The game should only end if either you've placed all 25 trihexes, or there is no space on the board where the next one would fit.

If you manage to find a situation where this isn't the case, please share it! That would be a bug I'd like to fix.

A bit! If you want to try it, you can play Classic mode for free at https://otteretto.app/classic/ or in the free-to-download mobile app!

That's awesome, thanks! :)

Thank you so much!!

Sorry, I didn't code the game with touch screens in mind! But if you want to play that way, the pieces are "anchored" at their center. For the "I" and "C" pieces, this is the hex in the middle, but for the "O" pieces, it's at the intersection of the 3 hexes.

There should be a "Follow Chris Klimowski" link on the game page if you want to stay updated. Thanks for playing!

Congrats!! I still haven't gotten a perfect score myself.

Not planning any more content for this game, but I have some ideas for a future game I'd like to make in a similar style.

Congrats! :)

Wow, thanks! :) It's always so much fun to watch someone playing my games!

Yep, it ends when you either you place all 25 trihexes, or don't have room for the next one.
