I did! I literally gave him money and I said I understood it because I’ve also made VNs. :)

Played this game because I read all of the comments about the riddles and I assumed they would be difficult (and that most of the game would be riddles.) For anyone else who is really into riddles, that is not the case. Which is fine, the story is still very entertaining, I even read all of the extra lore you unlock at the end.
I liked it! I do think the ‘twist’ (it’s not really a twist, since we all know how we got here, but) was revealed a little too early but he does say it’s because he couldn’t hold it in anymore, which is fair. Edit: Just realised the author is also the artist! I thought you did a really good job with the mmc. A lot of the visual novels on here and also a lot of manga/manhwa doesn’t do as good of a job showing the dead vs normal eyes, but you did a good job with the juxtaposition of the two. I really enjoyed seeing all the light diminish when he realises things aren’t going the way he wants, or when something he doesn’t care about is happening.
Spoilery comment below:
I’m kinda surprised about IN HINDSIGHT, if it’s a nightmare and not a real thing that’s happening, this is the first game I’ve played where the yandere has an ending where he just doesn’t yandere anymore.
You can’t tell me this isn’t one of the best horror games on itch. Plus it’s (secretly, kinda,) about one of my favourite topics. I love it when the plot goes round and round. I did take a couple dollars off of my donation because of the AI, though (I say this as a person who hacks AI for my job, and as someone who’s made a VN before as a private project, like… a decade ago. I kinda understand why you used it, but I really hope you don’t feel the need to next time </soapbox>), and there are a few typos that I noticed, but nothing game stopping. For a first game, (I was shocked to read that btw) this is really good! I also found myself with 10/10 and then saw Distrust and thought ‘oh man, I was wondering about that’ so that was really cool!
I hope you write more, either in VN form or if you just want to write some stories, and I would play more games of yours for sure.
We might need a guide now that extended is out with so many extra endings. But I’ll update this when I actually finish, I haven’t even started the priest route. I just played this game two days ago and now it’s even better, that’s crazy. I’m wondering if there are any easter eggs with the elevator but I know myself and it is unlikely that I will go back to it to find out. (Then again, maybe that’s where these two endings are 🥲)
Edit: Well, I’m missing 3 endings total now, one from the priest and two from the person who isn’t a priest or my boss >> <<. I thought I’d tried every option, I also tried being nice to the priest at every turn, but I’m probably calculating something wrong here.
Last? Edit: Aha I figured them all out. I dunno how I missed the elevator one, that’s on me. The cute mask suit guys remind me of Umbrella Academy. I really liked this! I will give some more dollars for it even though it’s technically an update on something I already bought two days ago haha.
Wow, I did not know what I was getting myself into but it was great! This was so interesting, even if I had to do the 8 again to get the other true ending choice, lol. All of the major character interactions were fantastic, I like how you actually learned more about the backgrounds of everyone involved by playing through both sides (calling dog vs cat ‘sides’ here). I tried to come up with some yandere names for the player and the only one that was accepted was the first one, I tried our beloved cagey childhood bestie. I then tried Nicola, I dunno if he counts, from Piofiore, since it’s really the bad ends that have him messed up, as well as Yang when Nicola didn’t work. Then I tried Tomomori because he’s an example of the thing I love where one character in a work of fiction is just LEAGUES more unhinged than everyone else and you’re just staring like ‘is he really saying that?’ (Bill Cypher is also this fwiw.) but he didn’t ping either so I gave up! :D
This was great, I will definitely follow you!
This was so good! I think there was a delay in my understanding because I got ending 2 first, and you don’t really know how terrifying this creature is, because she doesn’t really end up in a new situation. In the other two endings, there is no good reason that should be happening, and it is far more terrifying, and you get exactly how he’s a yandere. I really liked this, I honestly think you could make a series of these types of creatures! I’d play em, anyway.
I love how well this game comes together and how all of the characters play off each other. It’s nuts. I expected more violence from the literal squirrel but I guess he was just a little punk boy. I would definitely play more games by these writers. Also, the art was really good! Originally I liked the acorn the most and was really amused by his attempt to invalidate everyone else, but my favourite character, by FAR, was Ester, and I am deeply bummed that the hottest character in the game was not dateable. But I shall live.
I liked it! HEAVY SPOILERS to follow:

The girls are all exceptionally dumb. They theorize that a spell exists. See the love spell and for some reason decide to go with a chance rather than the sure thing that would definitely get them what they’re looking for, or better yet look for a riches spell, what they actually need. Then, after moving past the actually-what-we-want spell, they see the beauty spell, wonder if it has downsides and don’t even read the next page to find out that there are, in fact, documented downsides with a given solution as well. Because of this, my ‘true’ ending (the thing I picked first before just going after all of the endings) is the one where the main three die, because like, you guys are too dumb to live and probably wouldn’t have been able to help the other villagers, unfortunately including the son who will now have to be taken care of by an older person. Finally, the prince didn’t even seem to actually grant the villagers anything after all of this. So personally, I’m on the side of the beautiful girl because she was the only person involved who didn’t do anything wrong. Bro gave that girl a castle and a kid but couldn’t give her family and friends some food and a new well? And the AUDACITY he had to say ‘it’s not just her beauty’ duh. All people have traits other than beauty, but some don’t have beauty. People who don’t have beauty have less opportunities. Bro didn’t even NOTICE the MC at any point during the entire tale and she has more of a personality. So it seems like he is a useless person driven almost entirely by lust and I don’t like him either.
Anyway, good story, most of the characters deserved what they got. Didn’t really like anybody but I liked older woman (she didn’t have a graphic and I’m bad with names) the most and the pretty girl the most out of all of the main people. I would play more by this author.
This was super cute. I actually only got, I believe, three episodes into Madoka. We were watching it as an anime club event thing and that’s how far in we got and I never followed up because I’m awful at watching television or movies. Everyone is always telling me the shoe drops in the next episode after whichever one I watched, and I kinda generally know what goes on but not totally. Anyway, I say all that to say that when there was a four digit number at the front, instead of realising it was probably related to that show, I tried the number for the character, as well as the number for the Red one, but neither of them seemed to do anything that I noticed. It wasn’t until I read the comments that I realised I was mistaken.
Anyway, this was very good, I especially loved the art. If these characters weren’t dressed in such white clothes (which I totally understand) I might have even tried thinking of an inspired piece of clothing, I really loved the designs so much! Alright, I’ve already stayed up too late to get every ending, I’m going to bed, but this was awesome and I hope you make many more games and have a fruitful career.
Moar chattercap is always better! It has taken me a while to play this demo but I finally had some time.

Yikes this is a little too real on the depression front. Both (all three?) characters seem very reasonable so far aside from the stinger near the end, I mean we’ll see if notHusband is even a human in the first place. For most stories, I would get very upset that she can see all these pretty notable changes in her husbands’ behavior, yet do nothing about it, but the way she rationalizes so much away because of her depression makes it make sense. Aside from the confrontation / eyes moment, I can understand how she’s deciding not to push things even as his differences from her husband grow more and more stark and ominous.
As a girlie with diagnosed depression, I thought her experiences seemed extremely relatable. Especially when you try to talk to your friends, it’s too much, and you know you can’t expect regular people to basically be therapists so you end up isolating yourself. So real. Luckily, my situation has improved from those times, though of course I still have depression, since it can’t grow legs and disco dance itself out the back door.
I love the water theme quite a bit, the kelpies, god of the sea, underwater scenery for when she’s feeling underwater, it’s all so nicely cohesive. I love the ‘white thing on the beach’ consistency as well, is it a veil, a boat, something else? I love the set design too, each location really gets the mood across. The only thing I think would be better is if we could see what the studio looked like before the notHusband situation. Of course, I know that could be extremely difficult to draw.
I’m curious about throwing out all but 5 of pills from each container. Especially because the mc says she ‘knows why he did it’. I originally thought, oh that’s a countdown. Five days for a game that will last a total of 7, leaves some room for if you change things around a bit, plus I think he does it after the first day. So, countdown…but her comment makes me think something else may be going on. Hard to say until the whole game is released.
I have all of these ideas and inklings for what exactly could be transpiring. I’m excited to see where it goes. I’ll probably play a second time and pick other dialogue options when I have more free time, see where that leads. All in all, this is great, as always! Also, I appreciated all of the choices in the beginning. I am actually ace, and I definitely sent screenshots to several ace friends as a ‘lookit guys!’ moment. Though, I did pick allo because I don’t mind content in fiction.
All in all, this is a great showing so far and I’m excited to see where it leads! I’m also excited for anything else you release, as usually, hahaha.
