I haven’t even looked at the new set yet. In your opinion is there anything meta changing?
The current ranked meta is centered around Hydreigon, Mega Altaria and Suicune-Greninja. IMO there aren’t really any new pokemons that reached their power level, so the meta won’t change too much.
Having said that, Bellibolt ex looks like it has some potential.
It can - potentially - hit for 140 damage for only 2 energies. There are so many ways for it to generate the rest of the energies too: Pichu, Zeraora, Magneton and the new Electric Generator.
The problem is, it looks like it requires some set-up, by which point the top 3 decks would gotten have their powerhouses up and running.
I think it’s more likely that Trainer cards like Electric Generator and Arven see more play, just like Lucky Ice Pop did.
Personally, I’m more excited for the collecting aspect of the game. My prayer has been answered, with Bellibolt ex getting a rainbow rare!
It sucks that this set is bigger than comparative sets though. Collecting cards just got harder 😭

I’m still not sure if I’m opening this booster or skipping it. Lately I’ve felt more like chasing high rarity cards from old packs that I’m still using in decks when I get time to play. Heart wants what it wants, or something. (yes i’m listening to bebe rexha)
