The 2010s was a decade that began with emerging from the late 2000s financial crisis (similar to the 2000s dotcom bust) and also a time when new web technologies and approaches to social media and personal websites emerged, notably microformats2 at FOO East, SWAT0 at Federated Social Web Summit, and IndieWebCamp 2011 establishing the IndieWeb community, and key building blocks like Webmention, Micropub, and Microsub.
