Dialog, developed by Linus Åkesson, is "a domain-specific language for creating interactive fiction". Dialog was inspired by Inform 7 and Prolog.[1]
The Dialog compiler can compile story files for the Z-machine or the Å-machine. Dialog story files may be bundled for play in a web browser or on the Commodore 64.
The Å-machine (which can be transcribed as the "Aa-machine") is a virtual machine designed by Åkesson to run Dialog story files.
Dialog was announced at intfiction.org on November 22, 2018.
