  • This has been quite true for much of recent US history. However, people are a lot more aware of this game now - and a lot angrier.

Dems are used to being hated by their base, I think they really don't understand how upset people are. I have seen numerous conversations from normies about arming up, democrats being just as bad or worse than the fascists because they let this all happen, etc. And that was before more of the Epstein files were released, basically proving even Democrats are sheltering people guilty of the most horrific crimes.

The rich ghouls are soulless and don't care about anything, they can't comprehend people being serious and upset about something for an extended amount of time.

  • I think there's truth to your point, but about the consistency of oral teachings: For the first few hundred years the Buddhist sutras were passed orally. Before written word there were methods to ensure the teachings remained consistent. The buddha gave every lesson with many synonyms and alternative forms of explaination and then would teach it in chant form to the monks, who would all repeat the chant in unison each day or every so often. The monks would travel and spread the teachings. By comparing what was written down later in two places, for example a sutra written down in 900 CE in China and the same sutra written down two hundred years later in western India by a separate lineage of monks, we can compare changes that may have come about while passing it orally. Through comparing many data points researchers have found the oral method used by Buddhists to be consistent and maintain accuracy.

Points where changes have come about in the teachings over time have been deliberate, usually influenced by local cultures, which just as easily happens with written word. It could be argued that the manipulation of the teachings could be even easier once written, because it takes just one scholar or writer to change the text and send it along, whereas in chant form, if you tried to change the chant, you'd have to teach a dozen or more monks a new form.

  • One interesting thing happening this week though is the trial of the Alexander Brothers (https://www.miamiherald.com/news/local/crime/article314476946.html). They are mentioned in the files recently released in connection to Trump and one of them was listed as the agent for a house Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner bought in 2021. Maybe something more solid than this recent file release could come out from the trial but yeah I'm not expecting really the courts to do anything about Trump's or other top figures connections to all this. And probably most that support him still will find some way to rationalize it no matter what might come out.

I thought I never heard if it, looked it up and realized I had and totally forgot, kind of an alright idea because it's sort of like digital graffiti, you can tie it to physical reality with the map. Around Minneapolis:

Show Pixel drawn collaborative art, an array of various anime characters, logos, doodles, prominent images of Alex Pretti and Renee Good are visible and "FUCK ICE"

  • I don't know how much more context there was, I found this on the Variety article about it whom he made the comments to, he did say it in kind of a lib way, but maybe he just knows his audience:

“This is time for a revolution — and they don’t even know that’s what they’re starting,” the actor told Variety on Tuesday night at the Sundance Film Festival. “We have to stand up to it. They can’t take us all down. If the whole world showed up on Putin’s doorstep or the Iranians’ doorstep or in Washington, they’d kill 500 or 50 million or however [many], but the rest of us would survive with a new [world].”

“Some very rich old white men are exerting their power to suppress our own people, thus creating a feeling of civil war in the streets, preparing the haters to hate, teaching them how to shoot,” Esposito said. “This is all a preparation for a very insidious problem that’s happening in our world. And for me, I have to speak out. We will not be ICE’d out. This is not going to happen.”

He says a bit more on the video after that but basically just concluding.
