given that the whole historical mechanic is really just a VR experience of "genetic memories" run by an evil corporation (Abstergo) it stands to reason they would selectively edit certain aspects of history to suit their purposes
(just to play devil's advocate for the writers, heh)

also 31, one of my premolars cracked clean in half a few months back resulting in my first visit to a dentist in about 20 years lol.
none of the NHS dentists around me would even entertain the notion of an emergency appointment due to not being an existing patient so had to go private - did manage to find somewhere friendly and reasonably priced
that was my first port of call but the bank said because it's still a pending charge I needed to contact the merchant to cancel it.
I managed to get amazon to escalate it to their gift cards escalation team who apparently will contact me in 48 hours.
If that fails, by that time the charge will have left my account and i'll be able to dispute it with my bank
in middle school a kid kneed me in the upper thigh and I had cartilage damage for about 15 years
i'm a single player only kinda guy, so i never really played cod or battlefield, aside from bad company 2 (which was good) and black ops 1 (which was bad)
I recently played infinite warfare, and then BF6 back to back. IW is fucking fantastic; I am in desperate need of more scifi shooters now. couldn't believe it was a 10 year old game 'cause it's still so clean and put-together.
BF6 was absolute træsh by comparison.
I realised there will never be common ground between me and the cod fans, because they despised IW with the vitriol reserved for nazis

15 years ago my chemistry teacher scolded me for doodling all over the blank pages in my mock exam - little did she know I was seeking the forbidden hyperobject, presidentially

Games•Can we take a moment to recognize how fucking based the new Hitman games are?
·5 months agoit's been a while since i played nu-Hitman 1 & 2 but i remember a throwaway line by a guard in the first mission at the beach house where he comments that "left-wing ecoterrorism must pay well" that gave me a stunlock

·6 months agoi'm fucking crying at this
i used to always see those little steel 10ml whippets on the ground in the car park where i used to work, guess we've come a long way since then
kenshi really isn't like that (i mean, it definitely is, i've had several playthroughs fail because my sole character died immediately to a goat or a beak thing lol)
but it's more forgiving than you'd think - if your character gets beaten in a fight, 9 times out of 10 you're just unconscious and will wake up eventually and live to fight another day - that's kinda the whole point. the toughness skill is levelled up specifically by being beaten up, heh.
in any case, when you start a playthrough you can adjust some difficulty sliders, like reducing the chance to die
survival pro tip: recruit at least another member to your party asap - this immediately gives you the option to apply first aid to a downed character and reduce the chance they bleed out or something
yea i first started it in '22 and gave up after 2 hours, recently saw some vids on YT about it and felt the urge to try again, now I'm 100+ hours deep haha
Been on Kenshi quite a bit lately. I've put together a posse of freed slaves who go and free other slaves and kill nobles

·6 months agothe worst of all possible worlds - there's an undercurrent of criticism about american evangelicalism (particularly the adventures in odyssey episodes) if you're into that, but they also cover a range of media including films, tv, video games etc.
finally got around to playing Avowed
it's been fun, i'm at the final act now, though the stuttering has gradually gotten worse as the game goes on
i get the impression that most of the choices throughout are fairly binary so i'm anticipating a second playthrough where i just do the opposite, heh
