Adding and using notes blocks screen

Notes blocks are used to leave internal instructions, guidelines, or reminders for team members directly within the page layout. They’re visible in the editor and preview mode but are never included in exports or transferred to a CMS — making them ideal for collaboration, editorial guidance, or production notes.

Notes blocks support custom labels, background and text colors, and block-level comments — giving you a flexible way to provide rich, non-exportable instructions anywhere in your content structure.

How to add a Notes block

  1. Open the page you want to edit in the Content Planner
  2. From the left-hand block toolbar, either:
    • Click Add internal notes or instructions for collaborators to add it to the bottom of the page, or
    • Drag and drop it into the position you want
