I’m going to borrow that.
When you know a choice you made should have immediate or impending consequences, but the world carries on as if it’s business as usual. I was actually surprised when the opposite happened in Outer Worlds 2 recently. If you trigger a certain event and don’t go deal with it ASAP, it will happen without you and there are consequences.

19·27 days agoHardly any exclusives. Hardware is more and more meh with every release. We broke. Steam and GoG are so convenient I don’t even think about it. Nintendo will die a patent troll death.

3·2 months agoI dont normally go for this genre but they nailed the atmosphere and all out weirdness. The mystery keeps me coming back. It never beats you over the head with details or rams how you’re supposed to feel down your throat. Very clever design.

I’ve said some wild stuff when waking up from anesthesia but the good thing is you probably won’t remember it and they’re used to it.
He will never admit to what he sees as weakness. He painted himself into a corner there with how he constantly accuses Joe and Hilary of not being forthright about their health issues. He’s such a hypocrite.
His bragging about “passing” these cognitive tests makes me think the doctors have to make them into a game he can “win” or best others at just so he’ll take them. So even they are well aware he’s a stupid narcissist and know how to manipulate him.
My hot take is I bet Leavitt looked ashen that day because he had a heart attack and/or stroke right in front of Putin.

3·2 months agoYeah, we’re in the same boat. I’m going through the backlog, but I have yet to truly find my comfort food even though those two games are excellent. Especially PoE2.
Regardless, agree on your points. The latter two franchises have shown that live-service can be done well. Though I still don’t quite get how Warframe pulls it off… I guess it’s that they never broke their model while Bungie… you know.
For Last Epoch, the campaign wasn’t even finished and then suddenly. Don’t write checks you can’t cash, I guess.

281·2 months agoThey should have just put a fork in it when it became very apparent early on it was too ambitious for the studio to handle. And that was long before it blew up in popularity. Now the game has been unprofitable for the past few expansions and their owners are coming to collect. Live service was a massive, greedy mistake as Bungie is also not learning with D2.
We just got a letter from our water company that the part of our outside line they own may or may not be lead-based. And that they are not sure about the part we own. They also have no current plans to investigate or replace the part they own unless we decide to replace the part we own. Then we need to call them to coordinate the installation.
Unbelievable.

7·2 months agoYeah my dogs like when I make up stupid songs and make a fool of myself dancing. My deaf one does this head wobble thing and when I do it back she wobbles more vigorously and gets excited.
That’s a gentle way to put it 😆. But I agree it’s so great. Need to get back into it at some point.
Yes. I was so creeped out by the giant beige maze of cubes further than my eye could see at one place I interviewed at that I didn’t take it. Now here I am 10 years later at a place where I’m… in a beige cube. And I like it. Open floor plans or even half-cubes are hell for my concentration.

6·3 months agoIEMs. Or speakers in general. I previously bought the cheapest cheapo crap and didn’t give much thought past “mmm bass go brrrr.” Then I spent a little extra on a nice set and sat for hours re-listening to albums just gobsmacked by the clarity alone. Lots of snake oil in the industry though.

I like the uncluttered design. If the buttons feel good I’ll have to check it out as it’s one of my favorite handheld profiles.
