This comment will make me sound like an idiot, but I’m just coming to believe that all of Musk’s decisions with X were targeted to this very outcome. To be the world’s centre of alt right propaganda. It just makes too much sense now.

Haha guilty as charged. Cool rage by the way. Neato

Feels like simply teaching media literacy would do this job. Is that what they mean? I thought that was a given in any English curriculum.

Of all the ideas for a Star Trek boardgame, they chose this one? Discovery continues to perplex.

Regarding Apple and privacy? It’s well documented. Bing it. If you don’t want to, you didn’t feel like knowing more lol.
What I’m saying is that they probably did talk. It could be inferred by the nature of their relationship that the housemate pays so much attention to their well-being. Nothing says or implies conversations didn’t happen around depression. But as you said, talking about depression isn’t a cure. It is complicated.
Depression is a little more complicated than that, which I’m sure you know, but I think that is a necessary consideration.
Someone could definitely program their media player to make it appear as though the actors are waiting for you to press play again. Subtle rise and fall of the chest, blinking, all that.
Damn, new copypasta just dropped.

Glad you appreciated my editorialisation haha

I don’t think it truly matters what phone you use so long as you’re satisfied with it.
I started with a Nokia and migrated to the galaxy s2 then a HTC. After some time I switched over to an iPhone 5 and then spent a couple years with a middle of the road android who’s brand I have not even committed to memory. My current is an iPhone 11 which I’m pleased with.
All this to say, I think there’s weird cultism around the android ecosystem that is, to me, offputting. Wave your flag with pride sure, but no need to poo poo someone else’s yum all the while.
Edit: I just looked at what community I commented in…
This is classic cognitive disonnance. If they liked the person who made the car, I’m almost certain their mind would be different. This phenomena is particularly obvious whenever you see something that was once popular fall from grace. See the conversation around Justin Roiland or even Reddit before and after their respective controversies. You start to see the people say things to the tune of “blank was never good anyway.”
I know you made a joke about MacOS, but I am genuinely interested with what issue you have of it.

Please elaborate.

Thanks for the suggestion, I have been using wefwef, now renamed voyager, and while I am appreciating it I cannot move past that it’s a web app.

It’s fun to see them getting it from all angles, but the users really should just get out of there since it’s obvious nothing is going to significantly change. The loudest and most effective protest of all is to just leave- but people don’t like the effort it takes to change something in your routine like which site you doomscroll through.

Isn’t brave having its own controversy right now?
