No, it’s real life. I mean yeah I know the sketch, but I was in Crater Lake and heard people actually talking like that.

Yeah it definitely seems like there’s some selection bias in the responses. Maybe we need an anonymous poll.
Then he’ll say well next time take the 5 for 3.9 miles, then hop on 78 until you see the 420 then do a triple lane change to the 69 then you’re home.
Without even knowing where those roads are I see you are on the West Coast.
Fuck. Yes.
Nah I’m just curious after seeing the meme post about manual transmissions.

I’ll give you one other category - off-road focused SUVs (Wranglers, Broncos, etc…)
Can’t you do all the script blocking from uMatrix in uBlock Origin?
Why not Firefox + ublock-origin on mobile?
I miss my MME, but if you are saying ICEs are obsolete then you haven’t explored much of the country. There are huge swatches where it is impossible to charge or far more expensive to change than using gas in a hybrid.

Science Fiction@lemmy.world•Any sci-fi with aliens where humans are not the less advanced race?English
8·2 years agoHonestly I recommend it even if you aren’t into his comedy. It’s a bit thick in the first half of the first season, but it becomes a decent sci-fi show in general past that point.

Technology@lemmy.world•Apple to Limit iPhone 15 USB-C Cables to USB 2.0 Speeds: ReportEnglish
315·2 years agoLittle bit of a strange article.
First, it’s about data transfer speeds. I don’t think… anyone else in my extended family, and certainly none of the iPhone users, use a cable to transfer data frequently.
But more importantly - the subtitle of the article says that only the pro models offer faster charging speeds. Despite the article being exclusively about data transfer speeds.

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•When you order a tuna fish sandwich, do you say "tuna" or "tuna fish"?English
3·2 years agoMost of those issues apply to any meat, and honestly even to vegetables.
Most of these just make me smile or shake my head, but this one legitimately made me laugh.
Speed has not been the reason to get a manual for a long time.

Firefox@lemmy.ml•Why is firefox losing market share? Why don't more people use Firefox?English
232·2 years agoI use Firefox everywhere, but there are a few main issues that stop me from converting people…
- The lack of tab groups. This seems silly, but most people I know, especially on mobile, keep a lot of tabs open. If they’re researching something, or shopping for something they’ll leave 20 tabs open. Having that in one tab group in Chrome is a better way to organize than just tons of tabs.
- Sites that don’t work well on Firefox. Again, specifically on mobile I run into sites that work on Chrome but not on Firefox.
- General stability issues. I need to force close Firefox once or twice a day because it will just fail to load pages.

Pink should be a much larger slice.
