59·1 year agoThey supported it with security for as long as they said they would. Microsoft sold an estimated 50k of them and killed the product line. They shouldn’t be required to invest further in Android upgrades on a device that barely deserved to exist to begin with.

729·1 year agoThis article is silly, are they also still mad about the Zune? People who bought a Duo for $1500 in a world where the Galaxy Fold existed shouldn’t expect Android updates forever. It was always going to be an experimental niche product.

A Boring Dystopia@lemmy.world•Is Lebanon part of Israel’s promised territory?
926·1 year agoSorry, no, I do not see it that way. While Israel has slowly settled additional territory, things have been relatively peaceful there for the last decade or so. There is no excuse for terrorism.

A Boring Dystopia@lemmy.world•Is Lebanon part of Israel’s promised territory?
365·1 year agoI kinda understood the disproportionate response for the first few weeks of this war. I just thought they were trying to be thorough, or to make a point, so that those terrorist events didn’t happen again. As time went on I started to see more indiscriminate bombing, more killing of civilians, more territory being claimed by Israel.
The pager “supply chain attack” was madness, they had no regard for who might be nearby. That seemed a lot like the terrorism this started this current leg of the conflict and was a clear escalation. They haven’t been able to claim self-defense for a very long time. They are clearly the aggressors, and yup, if you try to criticize their actions you are accused of being an anti-zionist or a nazi. It’s all so broken and sad.

A Boring Dystopia@lemmy.world•Is Lebanon part of Israel’s promised territory?
81·1 year agoThe River Perat, commonly identified with the Euphrates River, is situated in the Middle East. It flows through several countries, including Turkey, Syria, and Iraq, before emptying into the Persian Gulf. In biblical contexts, the Euphrates River is often mentioned as a significant boundary in the promises made to the Jewish people regarding the Land of Israel.
It’s not just Lebanon. They want it all, because the bible said so. The US needs to stop supplying them with weapons.

9·1 year agoSometimes I miss the Spotify “Radio” playlists. Also, having the desktop sync with mobile so I could just switch players and keep the same playlist was also nice. It’s been over two years though and I don’t miss it enough to go back, Tidal is mostly a comparable experience.

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•What do you think of the victim mentality? Do you know someone with that mindset?
22·1 year agoA number of people who I have known to have that mindset faced a lot of hardship growing up. They had so much working against them for so long that it’s hard for them to see instances when they have control or to understand when some things are actually their fault.

News@lemmy.world•'He has made me feel unsafe': Ohio sheriff's Kamala Harris Facebook post draws complaints
26·1 year agoOk. It’s not just about self identification, it’s also about exaggeration and intent. The more that word is thrown around, the less it is taken seriously when things like Charlottesville or a white supremacy rally happens, where they are verbally anti-Jewish. I just want the word to be used in a more accurate manner. This man is a racist, he is a fascist, but he’s not necessarily a Nazi.
Anyway, agree to disagree with you all, I’m all done talking about this.
