It’ll be interesting to see if there’s an increase in slop or poisoned data to deliberately throw this tool off. Could be a fun experiment.

I would recommend taking it at a slow, steady, sustainable pace. It’s really satisfying to make huge, sweeping changes, but the things that usually make the biggest difference are the little habits and moments during the day. Incremental progress is the name of the game.
It helps me to pick a point of tension in my life and just spend some time working on that particular thing. For example, I hate when dishes build up, so I spent a whole week just focused on washing them right away. Once that feels like a sustainable routine that I can do somewhat mindlessly, I move on to another little thing.

food@hexbear.net•Pressure cooker? Crock pot? Instant pot? Rice cooker? If I have room for only one thing, what should I get?English
16·8 months agoI’m a big fan of multicookers (like instant pot). You basically get a slow cooker, pressure cooker, and rice cooker all in one machine.

Linux@lemmy.ml•Why doesn't the Linux subreddit leave Reddit already?
10·10 months agoI think it’s a uniquely good topic to have in both places. I first learned about Linux on reddit in Chrome on a Windows machine. It really helped lower my barrier to entry to chat with people on a platform that was accessible to my skill level at that time. But now I’m really glad there are nice foss places to talk about it as well.

I am autistic, which you probably could have just derived from the rest of this comment. Questions like these are so terrifying to me. So I always have a fun fact on hand.
“What’s new?”
“I just learned that only female cats have a calico pattern!”
Then you can talk about cats instead of your life.

I have nothing useful to contribute to the discussion, but I would like to say this conversation feels like Thanksgiving at my in-laws’ house.
My (uneducated) guess is that investing and doing business both tend to involve some amount of specialization, geographically as well as by domain and market, so a general purpose online setting might not be the place to go. Maybe classes at a local college or university or a conversation with a domain expert could be more suitable for your goals.

Linux@lemmy.ml•Where did the "Plasma" in KDE Plasma come from, and why do many people say that with or instead of just KDE?
10·1 year agoI have an irrational fear of this acronym. I think I’m worried I might accidentally recurse forever, and that will become the only thing I do for the rest of my existence.
