Spotify app sucks in the sense that they keep refining their UI to reduce the number of buttons on the bottom of the screen. When it first started they were five, then after a while there became four. I got used to where everything was, so of course with the recent update there now three so I have no freaking idea what is what.

I’m looking at the ingredients right now and both products say that they have cheddar cheese.
Though I would imagine the United States’ rules for what can be called cheese vs what can’t is a lot different than Germany

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•What has been the biggest surprise about getting older?
4·2 years agoYup. Turning 40 next month. Was having some terrible headaches and neck pain. Low-impact cardio really helps with all of that. Also making sure you sleep well and have pillows that contour to your neck.
I love it. It actually contains cheese too. The ingredients aren’t any worse than boxed mac and cheese.

2·2 years agoOr better yet actually have a more than a couple cashiers after 10:00 p.m. Walmarts are massive stores they’re not Buffalo wild wings or IHOP… You can’t run the whole place on one person. Needle dicks

Memes@lemmy.ml•Saw a news story people about people getting arrested for at Wal-Mart for forgeting to scan one item
27·2 years agoWhat’s up I’m a employeed, tax paying, US citizen. And I would suggest that anybody take advantage of the limited oversight over the Walmart self checkouts
These cock suckers decided that they would raise the prices on everybody under the cover of inflation. They did this knowing that it would drive people to suicide, it would drive people to be homeless, it would break part families and crush the American dream for so many people but they did it anyway.
It’s called plausible deniability… if you forget something in the self checkout, just be a nice person and say it was a mistake, and they will let you slide most of the time. Worst case scenario you have to go back in and pay. Best case scenario you get a bunch of free steak or something.

2·2 years agoLol. They weren’t all mine. I bought one for wife, a couple more for wife’s family. They didn’t all die at once, each lasted about a year and I’d replace them until I was like… wait a minute

13·2 years agoI have owned probably a dozen Fitbits over the years.
Not coincidentally, I own a dozen dead Fitbits.
Honestly you are better off buying the cheapest Chinese product on Amazon. Fitbits are pure fucking diarrhea in wearable form, and I eagerly await the class action lawsuit.

science@lemmy.world•Definitely Do Not Put Plastic in the Microwave
21·2 years agoI never put this kind of plastic on the microwave. But I also worry about paper plates, which have some kind of polyethylene coating that is really really hard to find any info about online. Ive fucking eaten cheese that has been boiled on a “paper” plate, only to find that those plates were coated in some kind of polymer.
By the way, the insides of aluminum cans are coated in plastic.
Sweet dreams!
I’m not sure you can use “going down on” in that way, but still I feel like I have to meet this woman.
Well I found out about it later, but yes I guess I did. Got away with it too!
Temu, Shein, Alibaba and even Amazon are full of unsafe products not manufactured under sufficient quality standards.
Recently we bought some plates for a party that had gold metallic polka dots on them. I was able to use a plastic fork to scrape off these polka dots. People were eating cake off these plates. The metallic paint was going into people’s mouths.
Also, many of these products are only designed to last for a short time before they break, so we are literally filling landfills with this plastic junk we get sent over to us from China by the shipping container load.

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•Earth got an update. What small features have been improved, added or fixed?
14·2 years ago-
Many humans reported an issue where their children would cry in the middle of the night. This has been fixed.
-
Fixed many other issues that were preventing a full night’s sleep.

I see this being treated as good news, and in some ways it is a relief to not see RTF files anymore, but the fact that the most popular operating system in the world now no longer has a free word processor included isn’t great when you consider that Microsoft Word is a separate expense. They could have done the work to make a better free word processor but they decided to just scrap it instead. That is some Google shit.

What the hell else is there? Good luck getting universities using OpenOffice
