Pretty happy with Brave, but I’m guessing that being a downstream chromium fork they’ll eventually be stuffed and forced into using V3?

They’re really trying their best to make windows as unfriendly as possible, pretty annoying when they’ve already been paid, bunch of pricks

14·2 years agoYep what a wild thing, to try and filter email domains so they can try and find “fake” providers

You Should Know@lemmy.world•YSK: Pro Publica has a tool that lets you request documentation of why your health insurer denied your claim
4·2 years agoUsually don’t like jumping on the US healthcare = bad bandwagon, but jeeze having these shithole insurance companies in the middle looks awful.
It’s as simple as a doctor giving you a script and the chemist dispensing it here, thank fuck the government takes care of the rest
Who is this thing gross thing, yuck

Finally, was wondering where exactly these things would have been used 😮
If you don’t have the strength to physically get it back then I guess you’ll have to live with the loss tbh
They’re a bunch of cunts, pretty par for the course when it comes to getting technology here (without having to grayimport it and roll the dice on warranties)
This thing also available at launch in Australia or nah those cunts can get fucked like usual?

Starfield@lemmy.zip•Starfield finally getting much-requested Nvidia DLSS support on PC next weekEnglish
2·2 years agoLeast it’ll have 32x9 support for when I pick it up on sale down the track, that’s nice.
These graphically intensive games need to launch with DLSS/FSR parity, adding it in later isn’t great for the end user

Cities: Skylines@lemmy.ml•Lowered the graphics options a bit and managed to get a stable fps in Cities: Skylines II
415·2 years agoThe performance has been pretty shocking at launch even with the latest patch. What’s even more shocking has been the super bad takes from the steam forum commentators such as:
- skylines 1 also launched poorly, it’s fine
- at 100k sims in skylines 1 you only used to get 30 FPS max so why are you complaining
- just drop your settings to low for everything it’s fine (and also it looks like shit)
- I’ve had no issues on MY computer, it’s perfectly smooth (it’s running at 15-25FPS)
- get better hardware (it runs poorly at 100k with a 13900k + 4090, upgrade to what, a supercomputer?)
I get that people invested want to bootlick their favorite company, but pushing out games that are clearly not finished isn’t great

62·2 years agoI get there’s a heap of people on here who’ve somehow never seen these new anti-popup measures before, but they’re definitely becoming more prevalent.
I switched to uBlock and purged the caches and it seems to have fixed the issue (for now anyway)
At some point I’ll have to find a more permanent solution like switching browsers but right now things are working
That’s a great outfit mate

I’ve never even seen this thing? All the Chromecast I’ve seen over the last 4-5 years have been in-built modules in Android TVs.
