With big prints like this that require tolerances I tend to make a dedicated model for just the feature with the tolerance and hone it in on that. Since just printing the bit I need to test is way faster than reprinting the whole thing a bunch of times. It takes a bit more planning but is totally worth it in saved plastic and time!

If I’m in a time crunch for the piece then sandpaper works well enough if the tolerance was too tight, and some wraps of electrical tape if it’s too loose

I’m grateful to have a group of friends that have all stayed in touch since elementary school. Discord has been a huge part of being able to stay friends as well have all gotten older. It’s become our third space, there is almost always someone in the chat every night so we can drop in chat and catch up, people come and go as they can, it works well for us and gives us a no pressure way to stay in touch

The way I do this is to just straight up ask first. Then regardless of the answer, ask how things have been. I usually do want to know how things have been, and asking after the favor helps show I’m not just asking as a pleasentry.

I know lemmy hates AI but auditing open source code seems like something it could be pretty good at. Maybe that’s something that may start happening more.

+1 for atomic shrimp, was going to comment about him. He’s so positive and calming, I didn’t have much of an interest in the stuff he does until I started watching him, but his quite calm demeanor and positive energy makes it so easy to watch!

Hell ya!

Been working on a multi-player version of tetris for the PC using Godot. Was able to play a match with a couple friends and they seemed pretty excited.

Still have some work to do polishing the game play and adding modes but it’s been fun playing something with friends that I made!

We need another bell lab
