      Cisbi male here, a large chunk of conservatism is about externalizing your views. When I still used to be conservative, but started to actually take the whole β€œI don’t care who you are” part more seriously, I got booed at and written off as a β€œcommunist liberal”.

      Obligatory β€œI’m a cis man” but this scenario is most of my extended family right now, with the lucky exceptions of my parents, siblings, and grandparents. I’m pretty sure they’ve all said this exact line multiple times.
