    Man. Country used to be cool. Like John Prine, Pete Seeger, Woody Guthrie. Not these bootlicking slop shovelers we see these days.

      That’s where the distinction between Americana/folk and “country” seems to come in.

      If it points out the systemic unfairness that all working class Americans face, it’s American folk music. If it’s about tractors and ogling your sister, it’s pandering.
