I already had a good chuckle at the people that viewed Discord as somehow theirs or that it was open source, etc…

I cannot remember how many times I’d ask someone why they set something up on Discord vs something else, I usually get some kind of mumbling about how it is “modern” and something about “demographics”.

Now Discord users are furious and canceling Nitro. I wonder where they will go if the update gets released.

Probably just go back to team speak. It’s free you can literally run it on your own computer. Making your own server. It’s very low on resource requirements. I could literally run teamspeak server on the same computer that I’m video gaming on. And not have any issues.

It’s super easy to set up. The only catches you may have to configure your own router. But there’s so many Help files and walk-throughs online to do that, so there really shouldn’t be an issue there. Sidenote, if you rent your router from your Internet service provider, you may not have enough access to the router to be able to do what you need. But that’s what Best Buy is for. Go buy one. That way you aren’t paying a monthly rental fee on a router.

Team speak if you want voice + text. Mumble if you just want voice.

Steam voice is also just extremely solid and reliable if you use steam.
