Art that would also be used as the game’s cover art.

Currently replaying through FFXII. Yes I’m nostalgic for it, but it’s so underrated!
Tried playing it again last year. There was so much to do without getting repetitive I was genuinely getting stressed. e.e"
Going for a hybrid powerlevelling run, going for achievements, going for beating optional bosses earliest, going for reading the whole bestiary lore, going for bazaar loots earliest, going for using guest characters as much as possible… You start getting dizzy. Almost feels like the middle segment of the game is slower and more linear on purpose, to give a breather.
For that alone, a fantastic game already imo. But I also love the more politics/diplomacy/war-oriented high fantasy that is the story, and how for once a game in the franchise strays away from the “religion is bad, let’s kill god” trope. Also a lot of visual storytelling and care to make the weather and biomes in the game make a minimal sense (I still think the Zertinan caves funnel humidit from Ozmone to the Westersand).
