It’s summer where I am, so it was nice to get to a beer garden on Saturday afternoon to see a set by singer/songwriter, Amaya Laucirica and her band.
She is often compared to bands like Cocteau Twins, Alvvays, The Sundays, The Go-Betweens etc, but much of her output evokes Mazzy Star for me.
Her 2025 album is a bit more electro-pop to my ears.
Amaya’s band consists of members who are also playing with Underground Lovers (I believe). I think I will post something from them, next.
