Apparently newer models have way better navigation.
The purpose of a robot vacuum isn’t to stop manually cleaning the floor; it is to complement my work and do general upkeep. I had an old iRobot which got stuck everywhere and bounced around randomly till it cleaned a room. It stopped working. So now I am in the market for a robot vacuum mop duo.
I have the Hoover One Power battery light weight vacuum. Strong suction, light weight, and easy for anyone to use. I love it too.
The ones that are easily accessible to me are all not supported either.
You need a compatible vacuum.
And if it’s a dreame, then you also need a dreame breakout pcb, which seems easier to acquire in Europe.
Let me know what you upgrade to!

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•Parents, what are the most annoying or outright frustrating thing that your kids do? Do you ever hate them for it?
7·2 months agoMy kid is the same. Or if the food doesn’t look right. Like if the fried egg isn’t round enough.
Used to love cheese. Now pretends to hate it.
Used to love cabbage rolls and Sheppards pie. Now they won’t even take a bite.
Foxes look installed correctly. No R factor though.

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•What is the non-technical hill you are willing to die on in your industry?
2·3 months agoTaking the time to be safe is extra effort. Besides, the risk of something bad happening is small, and if it’s not, it won’t happen to me anyway.
Also productivity bonuses incentivize being unsafe. Safe time by being unsafe. And worse- when management (supervisors) don’t see the risks or safety holes.
Obviously, I don’t approve of being unsafe.

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•What is the non-technical hill you are willing to die on in your industry?
3·3 months agoEvery field, not just IT. Office politics combined with being outgoing and well spoken and suddenly they make >$150k but have no skills to show for it. Their management style lacks and is mostly based on discipline so they can say “I did something about this small mistake” and they don’t know the basics but get away with it.
I feel you.

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•What is the technical hill you are willing to die on in your industry?
3·3 months agoThe mining industry emphasizes safely culture, just like what you said, and a lot of it is focused on wearing PPE.
There are still too many preventable deaths and accidents.
I think safety is talked about and vibe-based to please investors.
