Assuming Trump was legally able to run, and if it’s only those 5 choices, I would probably go with the company that’s the least evil. I don’t know which one that is for now. Definitely not Grok or Trump.

I sat in a brief on this, and while it definitely was hyped up a bit and strategically poked by humans to get some responses, the overall takeaway is that I’m fucking terrified of what’s to come with AI… and I work in AI research…
Of course facebook is, and has been, done for a long time. I think this says more about your interests than anything else. Mine doesn’t have a bunch of AI women, it’s a bunch of random shit and ads last time I checked.
I mainly use it for neighborhood HOA groups and similar clubs, pickup soccer, etc.

551·3 days agoI LOVE how not a single person doesn’t understand that this is all just about deflecting from the fact that Trump is being exposed as raping children.
Also attacking Iran is the same thing. Both have merits or risks to discuss, but the timing of everything is obviously to get the headlines about something else for a little while.
Guess what ICE agents who are reading this on Palantir’s Foundry or Gotham platforms: Epstein isn’t going away until Trump is either dead (from natural causes) or in a prison cell. It’s only going to get worse and worse for this child rapist.

lol Again, you definitely know more than me
I always get such a kick reading comments from extremely overly confident people who know nothing about a topic that I’m an expert in, it’s really just peak social media entertainment
LLMs are part of AI, so I think you’re maybe confused. You can say anything is just fancy anything, that doesn’t really hold any weight. You are familiar with autocomplete, so you try to contextualize LLMs in your narrow understanding of this tech. That’s fine, but you should actually read up because the whole field is really neat.
lol ok buddy you definitely know more than me
FWIW I think you’re conflating AGI with AI, maybe learn up a little
With openclaw and moltbook recently, the threat of taking many white collar jobs has shaken me to the core. My job may be gone in the next few years, and I do AI research directly…

Programmer Humor@programming.dev•disliking tech bros ≠ disliking tech
112·7 days agoYou hate this narrow use of AI in the commercial space . AI is so much larger and is used in many more amazing things that actually improve humanity than just making funny pictures and chatbots to squeeze more profit out of consumers. I know this because I’ve researched AI for climate for a long time now.

375·7 days agoAI is just a tool like anything else. What’s the saying again? "AI doesn’t kill people, capitalism kills people?
I do AI research for climate and other things and it’s absolutely widely used for so many amazing things that objectively improve the world. It’s the gross profit-above-all incentives that have ruined “AI” (in quotes because the general public sees AI as chatbots and funny pictures, when it’s so much more).

Ew. Fuck China. I do admire that they can just do stuff when needed, but again that’s just a function of authoritarianism and the surveillance state keeping everyone in line for Big Brother. The current US government is almost as bad overall, better in some ways, worse in some ways. There are a lot of state governments that are doing good stuff in terms of solarpunk and democratic socialism though.

How is the average AI user stupid? I think that’s just… your average human in general. Some extremely smart people that make amazing use of it, most that are reasonable and use it for some things but know their limits, and some that have entire relationships with an AI or kill themselves due to it.
