Second to worst for that is the excessive use of Google stuff, including Chromebooks replacing PC labs, and a bunch of G-software
Their dick probably didn’t look much better. Even with lube that’s gonna chaff after awhile and probably took off at least a layer of skin
I try to always put the -rf at the end for this reason. Not sure what works on Mac but it does allow it on most Linux shells

Yeah my first thought was that Frame should be ok since my intended use-case was “connected to Steam PC via the wireless transceiver” but then I AI remembered it can run standalone so would also need storage, RAM, and a strong enough processor to handle all that.
Now I’m kinda thinking it would be cool if the Frame was more like an updated Index with wireless, local tracking etc etc and an optional daughter-board - for standalone gameplay functionality - that could be connected later or even allow upgrades.

Punishing people for any form of kindness so that they are wary of helping anyone else in the future…

Frigate with a cheap “AI” accelerator (running visual models) FTW!

What would these be used for? Emulated games? I don’t see PC versions of Rock Band on Steam. I suppose there’s Frets On Fire which was based on Guitar Hero

Primary hosting, but they can always have a fallback for at-risk projects or even just use p2p. Of course that already increases the risk of a potentially hacked provider/repo or just fake/malware versions in the wild

Seems more likely they’re business partners in a criminal empire that includes child sex-trafficking, likely using DONT’s “modeling” agencies to move or entrap victims

Isn’t it also transmissible by skin contact and not just sexual contact?
And the Macarena before that, even though they probably know knew about two words from it (heyyyy Macarena)

I have AC but haven’t tried it in VR yet for some reason.
But to add to the (space) flying game category, Eve: Valkyrie is pretty fun for a quick thrill

I really want the Frame. The Index is one tech and cords suck. Oculus actually did a lot of things right but I just can’t justify throwing my money at Meta…

Nice. At the moment I’m looking at using ESP based LilyGo devices since they’re fairly cheap and power efficient. The plan is to set them up in places where they can run off solar power during the day and if I get enough people onboard we can relay off each other.
The tech itself seems cheap and effective enough that it might be good for situations like i.e. the protests in MS where having a phone or other device with too much personal info - or subject to tracking -might be less desirable. It could also be good in situations like we’ve seen in other countries wherein the government cuts off Internet access
What do you mean, isn’t possible?
There are plenty of subtitle formats that come as a separate file rather than burned or embedded into the video. If whatever software they were using for broadcast selected the wrong sub it’s quite possible, though obviously the timing wouldn’t sync up.
SOP isn’t that far off from TEL so the possibility of selecting the wrong sub file seems to have decent potential

I’m in the process of starting with some LoRa stuff myself, and just waiting on hardware to arrive. Can you provide any details on what you’re using hardware-wise? I’m assuming that 300km is pretty much obstacle-free?

On my android the 5-tap activates SoS mode. Holding power for a moment gives the power off and lockdown option, as does pressing power+volup simultaneously. Power+voldown appears to be screenshot.
Most of these options will still keep the phone “active” though so I’m not sure about USB based hacks. If encryption is enabled I believe that forcing a reboot/shutdown means the data on the phone isn’t accessible until after unlocking via PIN/password on boot.

Indeed, and now what GoG is pursuing stronger Linux offerings I may shop there more, but Valve had contributed more than just a shop and launcher. The Linux work with Steam Deck and Proton has been invaluable.
It’s worth noting that it’s not just consumer PC RAM sales are affected. A lot of electronics use RAM and a lot are and will affected.
Phones are one. Probably TVs. Businesses buy computers too and I’d imagine that the suddenly increased price isn’t going to go well for them.
