Same. I also appreciate nzb360’s way of handling paid features, it feels novel in a sea of subscriptions.

I just spent a week trying to set up my own server and good lord it was such a battle I gave up. Matrix? Up in like half an hour. Shame because my friends are so much more interested in Revolt lmao. Just gonna give them some time to sort out their business before trying again.
That website is delightful.

Just nailed down my Octopi setup today after abandoning Nova and so far enjoying it. A handful of things feel unintuitive, but some of it may be habits from a decade plus using Nova. The reachable drawer, where you can have it at first only open about halfway, is awesome. The worst part has been the lack of comprehensive search (apps, files, web, all in one). Installed Sesame to cover that and it’s been fine.

There now, wishing I wasn’t.

I use Librewolf on my work and personal desktops, then Waterfox on my Android. I prefer Waterfox, but I find the logo so lame looking I settle for Librewolf. The OOTB settings for LW are super strict and a slog to deal with unless disabled. WF feels like using FF in just about every way.

One possible pro of working a labor job that I found is that you can pretty easily zone out for long stretches of time and think through complex things you’re doing outside of work. Depends on your interests and hobbies at home if you’re able to take advantage of it. Worked a boring factory job for a few years and would spend entire days daydreaming about whatever piece of media I was consuming at the time or prepping DnD in my head.

Seems like this might help with library management / metadata handling. Can anyone here vouch for it? Using jellyfin for my music library at the moment and I have found it’s music management to be lackluster. Tracks with features showing up as distinct artists seems to be it’s latest hurdle.
You probably already know, but FoundryVTT is pretty fantastic. The software/base VTT itself is not open source, but the rule systems and modules (QOL add-ons) mostly are. I self host my own server.

I always assume the goal is to reduce education, likely increasing criminals who can get arrested and then work as free labor. No matter what it’s dumb. Ugh.

Thank you. Not sure if comments can be pinned to the top of a thread, but knowing this is real and not just an out of context photo used for propo is important. The fact that it wasn’t immediately dismissable is already sad, though.
As someone who uses foundry, PF2, and has tried on multiple occasions to prep using an iPad…I feel this. There are modules that help but it goes from useless to barely passable. Best of luck in your endeavors!

Architect here, not a programmer. I’ve taken Python classes but was never good enough too use it regularly. Using Gemini, I’ve been able to work through creating half a dozen scripts for automating tedious tasks and optimizing models/drawings. I’m hoping to improve myself so I can eventually make use of it for even more useful things, but as a start it’s been awesome. Not perfect, it makes a lot of mistakes, but I’ve been able to work with it to get things right.

On my daily commute, I would normally pass 2 or 3 cars for sale parked out in people’s front yards. Last I counted, that number was 12. More if I were to include other things suddenly for sale, like boats, bikes, and golf carts.
Have one unraid lifetime license, just paid for a second license yearly for my backup off-site machine. Been using truenas on the off-site, but its primary storage is USB which I didn’t realize truenas isn’t fond of. Ah well. It’ll be a little easier this way, anywho.

I’m pretty new to Linux (currently on Mint) and I have yet to get Easy Effects to work. I’m certain I’m the problem, but I’ve tried following guides and videos, yet as soon as I try using it, my friends on Discord say my audio becomes garbled and robotic. One of these days I’ll sort it out. One of these days lol

I see mention of Foundry, I upvote. My friends and I have been using it for a couple years and still find new ways to be impressed by it.
I am. Paid plan equates to like $2-3 per month. Tied it into Tailscale (I think TS has official docs explaining how) and haven’t given it another thought.
On mobile but look up TRASH guides. That’s what I used in my setup and I’m able to watch stuff almost as soon as it downloads and I still let it seed for awhile after. Also using Unraid, Arr apps, and Jellyfin.
Lol I’ve got mine sitting in the basement, still equipped with the pandora’s battery and probably some wild theme if I ever get around to turning it back on.
