Damn playing games on Linux has gotten so easy that people are just asking general questions here now.

Just got this update, I prefer the system ui being grey since its easier on the eyes vs the new blue theme that matches my wallpaper

I don’t think this works anymore, tried it with Silksong to play on the launch version.

ACKTCHUALLY the original Xbox One controller does not support bluetooth, that only happened with the controllers that were released after the Xbox One S/X.

How can he post it there when someone has to set up that website first? This is a lemmy instance hosted in Canada, nothing wrong with being away from the bigger ‘centralized’ instances and posting something gaming relevant.

xe driver on first gen has no hardware encoding/decoding, vulkan performance isn’t up to par, no power usage exposed yet iirc

There may as well be 24 Far Cry games at this point

mesa is a package that contains vulkan and opengl implementations like radeonsi, r600, iris, crocus, anv, radv, nvk etc. the drivers that are in the kernel such as radeon, amdgpu, xe, nouveau, nova, i915 are gpu spport, general performance, power managment, fan control etc.

If emulators and winlator do not count as android gaming, then emulation and wine/proton do not count as Linux gaming lmao.

Why are you asking on Linux gaming? That being said when questions like this are being asked here, Linux gaming has gotten quite a bit easier.

Full DIY is install Arch or Gentoo, get the cachyos-deckify or steamos-jupiter kernel (or patches if on Gentoo) for the sleep/resume support and audio output. Then install whatever software you want.
