Yeah, their GPL “compliance” is a disgrace.
My thinking was that while the initial setup time might be comparable, i’m banking on saving time with long-term maintenance. Most regular linux distributions have so many moving parts that often also change from one major version to the next. One could argue a bespoke minimal installation based on alpine or something would alleviate that, but at the cost of much more setup time (for me, at least). But i’m not saying my way is particularly the best; it’s just what works well enough for me.

Well, i get your snark but i disagree. To me, the annoying part of sysadminning is the “keeping things running” part. Doing them once is unavoidable.

nein. am liebsten würde ich die seite regelmäßig statisch rendern und auf einen webhost hochladen, der bei dem eventuellen belagere von ai-bots nicht umfällt - daher netlify.

Probleme mit diversen Android-Apps
Grüß euch, ich bin aktuell beim Ausprobieren von ein paar Android Apps. Dabei hab ich bemerkt, dass ich mich in manchen nixht auf feddit.org einloggen kann. Das betrifft https://f-droid.org/de/packages/app.vger.voyager und https://f-droid.org/de/packages/xyz.blorpblorp.app (bis jetzt). Beide melden leider nur vage Verbindungsprivleme beim Login. Andere Lemmy-Apps funktionieren, und auxh andere Instanzen lassen sich auf den beiden o.g. Apps problemlos aufrufen. Voyager hat vor einer Zeit sogar noch funktioniert (1-2 monate her), ich hatte also ursprünglixh die App und nicht feddit im Verdacht.
