that probably would make things more confusing since it would sound even closer to c/technology. You also cant rename communities so it would have to be remade if any name change occured which would lose all the current posts, etc.
LemmyPangora should be back up atm if you wanted a reference to what it looks like. It’s something I just havent been maintaining and updating atm since ive been focusing on getting some other projects finished and lemmy has been good enough so far on this side
I’m in the same city so it’s not that bad. Could be a lot worse lol
Also going to be adding some ssh keys to my steam deck and phone so if this happens again I can at least connect remotely that way next time. Usually do it with password auth on my personal servers so forgot to copy the key for this server

Important notes for the stats
- 2024 had alts allowed which inflated the account numbers while 2025 doesnt allow them edit: nevermind was a 2023 thing
- the time interval 2024 was in was double the size of 2025 (but site was down a bit within that but still has more than 3 days of uptime vs 2025s 2 days)
actual matches (image above has some issues with the script to show all black pixels + doesnt show white pixels vs transparent sections)

there was an issue (no pixel placing cooldown) so the sites being rebuilt to fix it
the new position also overlaps with someone btw
the design that overlaps with it moved a bit to the left, havent pushed the updated image here yet though
The bottom right is starting to be built up as a tech corner if any other tech related communities want to join into that (programming.dev, d2jam, toast.ooo, and sc07 currently). There should be a bunch of empty space for people to put stuff

Hey everyone. Just wanted to do a post to pin in the community just to enforce the difference between c/tech and c/technology more since there’s been more and more rule breaking posts popping up and I don’t want to put more work on maintaining here since there’s no dedicated mod team for it atm

Slight Christmas Outage
Hey everyone! Sorry for the few hours of outage on the site. There was an issue with the renewing of the SSL certificates and in standard fashion it happened at the worst time when nobody could fix it quickly.

Now that people have settled in a bit into the instance and we have over 100 communities created I’ve created a new community that new community requests are going to be moved into rather than the pinned thread
