"This research is partly inspired by the rapid disappearance of some federal data from .gov websites in the early months of 2025. The implications of missing data for researchers in fields such as public health and environmental science has been discussed in journals and news reports recently. This survey intends to add to that discussion by gathering information on how instruction (apart from longer-term research projects) makes use of government data and adapts when it disappears."
