most or a great majority of people in the US have it “good enough” to not “risk it all”.

Most of the people I know are barely hanging on and desperate to keep the little they have. When you’re barely getting by, like 60% of Americans currently living paycheck to paycheck, you can’t afford to risk anything.

They’re too busy making sure their kids don’t starve, or making sure they can stretch the last bit of money until the next check. Doesn’t help that all we do is exploit these people any chance we can.

And I’d bet a lot of people in that situation don’t really care to help repair a system that never really worked for them in the first place.

It’s not the right approach, you and I know that. But desperate people don’t act rationally. They act emotionally. And our society has gotten really good at manipulating peoples emotions.

I never used the PlayStation app, but the app ‘Chiaki’ worked well enough for me with my ps4 and 5.

Think about all the products out there that decided to save money by using a tiny SoC with a small amount of RAM. All that stuff is about to become too expensive to bother with anymore. Maybe we’ll go back to designing things without jamming computer components into every aspect.

The Tech Bros bend the knee. They don’t care about connecting people, or making information accessible. They only care about exploiting you and selling you. So of course there’d be no fight when the government asks for dissenters.

Honestly I’m glad I decided to pick this up despite my complete rejection of epic games store.

This is a weird generation of consoles. If you’re an early adopter, you probably saved money. That sorta thing never happens.

So the AI Max 395+ easily performs about 6 to 8 times faster than the Steam Deck, but it of course uses way more power to accomplish it.

I have a Framework Desktop with the 395+, I use it as a small form factor gaming PC and it can play any modern game at 1440p without upscaling on high graphics settings while maintaining 60fps. Max power draw of about 120 watts. It’s also basically silent which is awesome.

I’d imagine if they limit power draw for a handheld, it’d probably run significantly more efficiently than either the steam deck or Ally though. But I also feel like throttling such a powerful iGPU seems kinda wasteful and the 385+ could work just as well at low power and cost less…

When the label fits…

That’s better priced than I’d expect for a Max+ 395. I’m not gonna buy it though, the steam deck still works fine.
