Yassss!!! While I am more fond of the quirky side of VotV (the aforementioned Criken2 streams), the atmosphere of the game is something else.

I have kind of a similar setup. Got started on my Proxmox journey late last year, and I’m a veritable noob with Linux as a whole. Migrated from a bunch of individual systems, mostly Raspberry Pi SoCs, to a very neat mini PC by Bosgame. The only difference is I run a separate Synology NAS that I mounted via SMB, so that all VMs can access it. I use Jellyfin as well. Granted, I’m running in a very basic RAID 0 with 2 8TB drives, but iirc it uses ext4. Since you have a full backup already, sounds like you’ve done half the work. Wipe the NTFS partition, and restore the backup to the newly created ext4 partition. I think that should work.

I got started with all his Garry’s Mod VR stuff and was hooked from there. Granted it to me two years after that to even boot GM up in VR lol

Ugh… and I am not even surprised if they lean on the modding community to fix the damn game… AGAIN. Don’t get me wrong, the fan community has done some phenomenal strides, but maybe… like for example with Project Zomboid, despite being a much smaller dev team, has a HUGE modding community, and they then hire them on to expand their team. Sure Beth does that too, but you’d think they’d improve or switch engines to something with gusto. And seeing the lukewarm reaction to Oblivion Remastered, throwing a layer of Unreal over top a very dated engine doesn’t fix things.

Feels like a precursor to Repo. Throw some Cyberpunk 2077 in for good measure.

Can confirm. Drive a '14 Gen 3 and it’s been pretty damn reliable in the ~10 years I’ve owned it. Looking at a midrange EV in the next year or two tho. Got the Prius cuz I was driving 90 miles a day. I drive maybe 15 now.

If you have a beefy-ish computer and an interest in modding, I can’t recommend Skyrim VR enough, as there’s a decent amount of modpacks that take the game from “WTF was Bethesda thinking?!?” to being a full-fledged massive VR world to wander around in. Sure, modding Skyrim is it’s own game, but the end result is amazing.

You can probably get it for ~$15 on sale. Think i bought it at $20 back in 2019.

Honestly I’ve not noticed. Granted, I have a 5 year old sub-flagship Samsung (A70), so there’s a little sluggishness all around.

Been using Octopi Launcher, and it’s a decently solid replacement for Nova. I actually think it’s more flexible as you have customization tucked behind the single long press on your home screen. With Nova I always had to figure out the best way to swipe up from the bottom and more than half the time end up opening the app drawer.

I’ve watched so many streamers play it that idk if I’d wanna play it myself, but that I didn’t know! I love how much love they put into the game as a whole. Never fails to get me a bunch of hearty laughs…
