Do they not realize the ones installing their security devices are also the same people they are trying to protect against?

I have only lived with this 49" monitor for about 3 weeks now. It’s oled, better than my previous 32" Samsung, but not a huge improvement - mainly better blacks. My work flow was 3 monitors with 3 different applications: file/folder/misc - browser | IDE - Inspector. With one monitor I pulled inspector into the browser and split the screen with my IDE. It’s much nicer, workflow wise.
Also versus a multi-monitor setup, I think it’s mostly superior, although I do prefer having vertical side monitors. It’s less power and less draw on my card. My GPU is basically getting the same FPS ( maybe 10 FPS less) for running in 5120 by 1440p. I haven’t tried anything demanding yet, Hell Let Loose ran around 60+ FPS. - currently playing Divinity 2 @ Ultra with an old 5700 and getting between 60-70 FPS.
But a nice 32"+ single monitor also works very well, if you don’t need a large space to work in. IMO if you need that 3 monitor setup, it’s worth it.
I recently picked up a 49" MSI OLED monitor and it has a built program to prevent burn in. I’ve only had it for a week, but it’s so much better than 3 monitors imo. I used it mainly for work, and a little gaming. No issues with either.
Basically do the same thing. Until a game hits $20 or less, I won’t purchase it. For $70, I would rather buy something useful like new shoes.

3·22 days agoAt my current job, I use AI frequently.
But it’s nowhere near replacing me. It’s like having a 12 year old intern that’s an inexperienced genius.
It’s great for saving me 10 minutes to write out some simple HTML or structured data. But it’s definitely not perfect and tends to add unnecessary changes, I constantly have to review and add new rules.
So I don’t think it’s replacing any humans any time soon, but it has gotten exponentially better over just a few months. So maybe in a few years, I’ll start to worry.

1·1 month agoI saw the officer standing 10 ft in front of the vehicle. When she turned the wheel and began to move the vehicle out of the road, the officer jumps out of the way of the vehicle and then proceeds to move to the left front of the car at which point I think he makes contact with his leg against the car while simultaneously pulling and firing his weapon.
It was as if he was waiting for an opportunity to run into the vehicle and claim self defense
