The government definitely could have been the ones to take the lead on this. Reading the article, it seems like the solution is for Canadians to get on the platform and show that weāre here
Lamrock said that most of Xās value comes from the days when it was Twitter and the fact that many governments are still on the platform from those days.
The City of Fredericton recently stopped suing X, but spokesperson Marley McLellan said the decision was made after a survey that showed residents were using X less and less to find information about city services.
āThe city looks forward to continuing to share information and connect with residents on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, the website and through newsletters,ā McLellan wrote in an email.
Are people really getting government updates through LinkedIn?

I had to double-check what Deflock was for:
DeFlockās mission is simple: to shine a light on the widespread use of ALPR technology, raise awareness about the threats it poses to personal privacy and civil liberties, and empower the public to take action.
This app makes it easy to view and report AI powered surveillance cameras, automatic license plate readers (ALPRs), and other surveillance infrastructure near you.
Sharing information about where cameras are located is terrorism now?

To be fair, someone else did post about it last week and they had rules about that.
I love having new people here, but I also donāt want newcomers to feel spammed. Nor give Reddit any justification for going back to auto removing any discussion of Reddit alternatives.

Pretty much, thatās what I understood it to mean anyway
I assume the phrase has been used in other contexts too

You can see a CT scan of one of these

I understood āmaking itā as accomplishing what you were pretending to be, often in the context of self-confidence

Last I saw, they had rules against self promotion. Iām not sure if this qualifies, but at the very least we could post it in their self promotion specific thread.
Check out !selfhosted@lemmy.world for questions about selhisting, and !lemmy@lemmy.ml for questions about running a Lemmy server
Iād recommend including a lot more details in your post about your machine, your budget, why you want to do it, etc

As long as people are moving away from Windows and Mac
If people donāt like it or Linux Mint doesnāt meet their needs, they will go back to Windows or switch to MacOS. The article points out that there may be better stepping stone distros these days
Iām also thinking of video games, but mine isnāt as realistic:

Wow
I love the birds especially :)

Looks great!
