Then there’s voter suppression and gerrymandering etc. Even regardless of how Americans vote, Trump has drastically expanded and abused executive power and hasn’t been hardly even inconvenienced by the supposed checks and/or balances
If one man can single-handedly do anything Trump has done without check or balance, the system does not work imo. Think of the worst person you ever knew. If you don’t want them wielding the power, there is too much concentrated power.

you have to remember that proton is translating Windows software to Linux while you play so the fact that it works at all is pretty great, but of course it’s not a great experience you’ve had!
Have you tried experimental proton versions in the compatibility settings? Also do you have the proprietary nvidia drivers?
Frankly Linux, especially gaming, is not ready without plenty of command-line foo

4·18 days agoIt seems to be a bit “bleeding edge” at the moment, and the instructions for self-hosting are not really sufficient (at least for me).
You’re correct. I think a lot of folks are looking for something decentralized/self-hostable to avoid the lock-in disaster that Discord has created, at least, I am. And I have found a dearth of alternatives! Good article, though.
I did. It isn’t a viable selfhosted alternative atm unless you want to do actual dev work
Ive spent hours configuring stoat and spacebar and I have to say they are absolutely not ready for self hosting. They also lack vital features my friends and I use, like high quality screensharing or video.
I’m trying my hand at matrix, but it’s rife with problems too. If you want high throughput video, you need to set up Jitsi alongside. I haven’t been having a good time.

Plus ADHD fucks up ur ability to muster the energy/intention to do tasks, especially ones you don’t want to do already. If I am asked to do something I already intended on doing, it saps the energy from me too.

AI doesn’t “know” anything. It’s a big statistical probability model that predicts words based on context. It is very specifically BAD at math and dates etc. because it works based on words, not numbers. Models can’t do math
