Made weekend plans with friends
Honestly give me a knife to slice things with and that’s a half decent meal
You can not evolve out of a clade. Any way to group dinosaurs must include all of their descendants.

11·14 days agoIt’s crazy to imply that electoral politics (especially in the US) represents the will of the people.
You don’t pass them? When cars pass me and then get stuck at a light, I always pass them and then pull right in front of the light and block them. I want the futility of passing me to be super obvious.
High halls has some tough parts but it’s nothing crazy. The hardest part has a short runback. You’ll be fine.

PC Gaming@lemmy.ca•Epic Games CEO Tim Sweeney supports the $900 million lawsuit against Valve, arguing Steam is "the only major store still holding onto payment ties and 30% junk fee" [refer to in-app purchases]English
2·22 days agoI’m no Epic Games fan, but this is an overcorrection. Valve makes money hand over fist and they aren’t making those products simply out of passion. They’re doing it to make even more money. The company are pioneers in micro transactions and loot boxes. The other large game companies (and especially alternative storefronts) have just been so shit that gamers feel a weird attachment to this company.
No. The trick is to have 2 roommates that work at Red Lobster, get high as hell and wait for one of them to come home with the goods.

I have a white cat and like to wear black. I’ve found out which lint-rollers are best.

Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•Outside of politics, have you ever had a position on something that you have doubled down on and refused to move an inch on to the point of upsetting someone? Were you right?
2·26 days agoFun fact, in Japan, they drive on the left. As a result, they also walk on the left on the sidewalk. However in Osaka, they walk up stairs and use escalators “international style” on the right. They still walk on sidewalks on the left side. The rest of the country is not like this.

1·1 month agoYeah the game runs ok from what I can tell. I’m used to the Xbox controller now but I wish I could use the GameCube. It’s super odd to me that this hasn’t been addressed. Surely a driver is not that complicated to make for such old hardware.

World News@lemmy.ml•Trump says he reached Greenland deal ‘framework’ with NATO, backs off Europe tariffs
1·1 month agoYes exactly. That’s my point. Why would the US (or any country exporting complex defense products) need a Killswitch when they can just cut off support and make your equipment quickly useless.

World News@lemmy.ml•Trump says he reached Greenland deal ‘framework’ with NATO, backs off Europe tariffs
3·1 month agoI could be wrong, but I think the US agreement with Denmark gives the US the ability to just build a new base if it wants to. He could have just done it.
I think there are 2 reasons why he didn’t go this route:
- Bringing in a new state would be a big political win for him.
- Greenland is rich in mineral deposits that the US can’t have without making Greenland part of its territory.

World News@lemmy.ml•Trump says he reached Greenland deal ‘framework’ with NATO, backs off Europe tariffs
1·1 month agoThe USA does not have secret remote kill switches in its military exports. This is a crazy myth that doesn’t make any sense. For the F35, the US controls all spare parts distribution (for a maintenance intensive aircraft). They could just cut a country off from spares and ground their plane. They don’t need a massive built in vulnerability.

11·1 month agoHow much would it cost CDPR to literally ignore this entirely? I’m of the opinion that he didn’t do anything wrong and CDPR shouldn’t have the right to coerce small creators.

2·1 month agoI can’t connect a GameCube controller. There’s some ancient thing on GitHub that claims to do something but I feel over my head trying to do it and it hasn’t been updated since like 2016. On Windows, you download Zadig and run it and you’re good to go. I’ve had to switch to an Xbox controller for Rivals of Aether 2 online.

I’m getting tickets in the nosebleeds and getting paid 100s of thousands to be there.
