  • Depends on the game. A game of skill, I tend to try to make it look competitive with some wins and losses for both but nothing too out ragious like lapping them, going flawless, trick shots, or running up the scores. I am usually teaching them how to play. I am thinking specifically video games or sports here

Games of luck, I try to play to play to win and sometimes explaining my logic if I asked why I did that. This applies to games of cards like Uno, Cribbage, yahtzee.

    Depends what we are playing.

  • Just finished “Project Hail Mary” by Andy Weir. For entertainment. Enjoyed the story as it was very much reminiscent of The Martian by him aswell. Goes into the science and is reasonably accurate with some embellishment to keep the tension and add interesting characters.

Also just finished “The Let Them Theroy” by Mel Robbins. It was very helpful gave me a perspective that was diffuse to see and made me second guess myself alot. I was always trying to always fix situations where someone was mad/angry with me. It help me recognize I’m not responsible for their emotions, Let them be mad". And let me identify what I can control myself. The only other person’s emotion you are responsible for are childrens and your goal is to help them process them and tell them emotions are ok. It really is that simple.

Been looking for a new personal growth book. Started “Notes on Being a Man” by Scott Galloway. Its interesting so far. More of a memior so far.

  • I pulled my XB360 out this week. Like many people living in the south, we were iced in for the last 4-5 days. As a way to entertain my toddler I pulled out the 360 and Kinect to play fruit ninja. He loved playing it and even beat my high score from the last time I played it back in 2015

  • I remember picking up a buddy in college to go explore some ice caves on the shore of Lake Superior. He was at his aunts house and she asked us to take the dog with us and to not let him get wet, like it was up to us. The dog was a 10yo black lab and a good boy.

We had him on the leash as we exploring the shore. The good boy kept crying bc he wanted to explore off leash and swim. We had to keep telling him no. Eventually we let him wade into about 6inches of water. When he tried to go deeper we told him no. He then looked at us laid down and rolled over to get drenched.

Needless to say we let him loose and he swam the rest of the time we explored.
