1·16 days agoas long as it’s working well nothing needs to update, most often it’s changes with new installs in mind. keep an eye on the wiki news for which wine runners may be most suitable, usually latest lug one

22·29 days agono actually the library thing is always a factor it’s exhausting to get in a pile of irrelevant packaging issues reported for some distro that doesn’t fulfill required dependencies . those issues need to go to the packager instead. or they just have to accept using 3 year old applications
in this decade my worst Linux experience has been attempting to digitally sign a document what a wasteland of decrepit and poorly documented tools
I don’t think I’ve ever had a debian major upgrade go well. always easier to reinstall, but the stakes are so low on my own devices

rust the language is, but projects using it can be any other license, like GPL 2 or 3 or whatever cursed one that sudo has

3·3 months agobegging people to consider that not everything is a universal affects everyone problem but a problem nonetheless it’s called survivor bias. zorin is a unique offender for producing their even number LTS on the following off numbered year . they only got 24.04 like last month. some non-steam struggles when using older packages
