Reposting the same post to another community or instance. Sorry I have replied so late!
Would you mind crossposting on !snakes@lemmy.world?
This feels like Where’s Waldo for adults. Took me a bit to find all four.
I am reminded of something I read back on Reddit, that colorblind people have an advantage with seeing animals whose coloration otherwise make them blend into the environment. I saw that discussion on a picture with cats blending into the environment similarly to how the bunnies blend in here.
For folks not getting a preview thumbnail, this is an on-topic video about rabbit fur, not an off-topic video about a human hairstyle that has nothing to do with rabbits beside the name “bunny”. Watching the video shows an owner removing what seems to be excess bunny fluff, gently pulling out hairs that are shedding and would already fall out naturally with a bit of friction and/or time. The excess bunny fluff is later shaped and placed on the bunny’s head like a wig.
Thanks as always to OP for helping keep this community active.

2·7 months agoThanks for the higher quality image! Yes, 8 or 9. This might tie for highest buns per photo in !bun_alert_system@lemmy.sdf.org, where the current highest number is 9. Very cute to look at.

2·7 months agoOne of the comments calls Petey a lovebird, and it seems to check out with a quick search online. Not a bird expert though.

2·7 months agoThat’s at least 5 rabbits in one picture, if not more (too blurry to tell if bunny or dirt). Highly recommend clicking to the article to find the picture.
Not loading for me sadly. I trust it’s a big bun
This is precious. I’m not sure how I missed this post. Thanks for posting the source, it is wonderful

1·9 months agoGenuinely, what should I be looking for? I don’t want to promote mistreatment of rabbits but the truth is, I don’t own any and don’t plan to. I’m just a random Lemmy moderator who picked this community up because I think rabbits are cute enough to post and check here semi-regularly, the other moderator was totally inactive, and an active person to remove spam > nobody. So I don’t have the knowledge necessary for what to look out for, and that was actually a big reason I spent awhile not stepping up to mod: because I figured I’d run afoul of this very problem at some time: accidentally posting rabbit harm. I did know she was scared for part of the video since the subtitle actively said she was scared of the last obstacle as it was too close to the screen (around 0:29), but figured since she conquered her fear and I didn’t see any obvious attempt to intentionally hurt her, it was okay.
I am very happy to abdicate power to someone who knows more about rabbits. I’m just here to make sure spammers get banned, and luckily we have not had any, probably because the community is active.
I find it interesting they give English subtitles in the video but the description is pure Japanese. Maybe because most browsers will auto-translate? I was viewing through the YouTube app.
Thanks as always for posting lots of bunny content here!

3·9 months agoThe little subgenre of animals interrupting sports is entertaining to me because people often cheer for the animal, and honestly I can make better sense of one animal moving than a bunch of people all trying to accomplish different things with their bodies that fast. Never had trouble in daily life or driving, but watching most live sports seems to elude me. I think this is probably the same reason I’m so bad at first person shooters, and why baseball seems to be less difficult for me to comprehend. Too much different information too fast that I just don’t know how to interpret.
I can say that the iOS game Retro Bowl helped me a little bit with football and understanding what the positions do, even if a real game is still difficult for me.

I’ve always been partial to Buneary for obvious reasons

I also did this, with much less skill than in the picture I submitted, before we knew I was neurodivergent. Traditional school worked super well for me and teachers loved me even if I did not do so hot with the social aspect of making friends with other kids though, so I never got told off for putting bunnies between the homework problems.
