My dad has this one and lives in SW VA. He complains about never finding any matching items in thrift stores to replace some broken ones, but finds plenty of my grandparents (9)

5·4 months agoWas unfortunate to work as a teller for them after college in a college town no less. The number of customers that came in with an overdrawn account, especially students, was astounding. We always had to explain that they took the largest payment first since it was deemed “most important”, but it was a way to incur the most amount of overdraft fees.
This was my coworker at my old job. I’d go to open the microwave to reheat my lunch and find her coffee cup there from earlier. It became a running joke whenever she couldn’t find something to check the microwave.

3·5 months agoThe only thing somewhat saving me right now is unfortunately utilizing Amazon grocery delivery. I’m spending less because I’m not browsing the aisles and only getting the necessities.
We stopped giving out candy and instead do chips, juice, gummies, cracker packs, etc. The cost is roughly the same, he kids send to love it, and we don’t want to be stuck with a bunch of leftover candy.

9·5 months agoThis is one I was already boycotting, but not because of their practices, it’s because their coffee is terrible. I’d rather get some from the gas station.
Meh, if going out after getting home, I’m usually wearing athletic shorts and a baggy T-shirt with no bra because I don’t care at this point in life.
This is my son, we often call him Betty White and say that he needs to eat a Snickers. It’s gotten a bit better now that he’s getting older, but was rough for awhile because if we missed the point of getting food into him, he became an absolute monster, once age eating half of a pizza under our dinning table.
Attend a LEGO convention every year and they always post a reminder as it gets closer to bathe and wear deodorant.
I checked all the pharmacies in my area and no one had it, but it is now showing as available, albeit in limited quantities so I’ll be working to get us scheduled ASAP!
After seeing this, I attempted to check CVS for availability for myself and son since he just started back to school and hubby is immunocompromised from chemo, but they had a message stating they anticipate an updated one soon and currently didn’t have it available. Good luck to everyone looking to protect themselves and others.
Since I stopped taking BC (husband is on chemo so he said what’s the point) and am in my early 40s, I can truly say I don’t know because they’re often sporadic and frankly tracking it is the least of my concerns.
Thank you, I completely forgot about his website; will definitely keep it in mind for the future!
Thanks for the responses. Even before his situation, the insurance industry was always a point of contention with us and I never hesitate to get on my soapbox to argue my disdain for everything. The lack of empathy from this country is sickening and unfortunately as my husband says we’re now stuck.
This has been a fun ride for us, husband was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer end of last year. Met the max oop for our plan very quickly and have everything on the minimum payment plan. Things reset in July and we returned from vacation (needed our son to have some normalcy) to a $1300 bill for his first chemo treatment in the new cycle. We asked if the oncology office will work with us so we’ll see what comes of that. It’s exhausting and I don’t know how people without insurance survive (although the current system is an absolute joke).
This is my boomer dad whenever he complains about it being extremely hot in the summer, cold in the winter, too much rain, etc. Always responds well it won’t last too long and that’s just nature, nothing we can do about it because it has a mind of its own.
I changed jobs about a month ago, but never felt like my previous boss actually cared about my spouse having cancer (always said she could relate because her 70 something year old mother had a different type of stage 4). New job, people have said they can relate and understand, but have absolutely made it about me and how I’m doing, not how they’re doing.

10·10 months agoThis would absolutely be my husband if he opened a container like that. Scooped a hole in the middle of the brownies I made a few weeks ago.

Isn’t it also one of the few places men can get tested for breast cancer?
