THE EXCEL PROGRAM
Our Excel program empowers youth through leadership development, mental health awareness, mentoring, and wellness courses. It also provides educational support, career preparation, advocacy through the arts, and training in civic engagement and public speaking, equipping participants to grow and make a positive impact in their communities. The program fosters confidence, resilience, and a sense of responsibility, preparing youth to become future leaders.
LEADERS FOR CHANGE
Leaders for Change is the summer extension of our Excel program, designed to empower youth to advocate for meaningful change in their communities. This initiative provides participants with leadership skills, mental health awareness, and tools for advocacy. Youth also engage in civic engagement activities and public speaking training, fostering their growth as confident and proactive community leaders.
REACH YOUR POTENTIAL COURSES
These professional development workshops allow participants develop enhanced leadership skills and advocacy tools, equipping them to reach their potential professionally and personally. The workshops fosters a supportive environment where participants can establish safe spaces, practice self-care, and effectively support youth well-being. By partnering with your organization or school, GDS empowers adults and youth to create a community where everyone can thrive.
YOUTH ENGAGING SENIORS
Youth Engaging Seniors (YES) is a transformative therapeutic intergenerational program that bridges the gap between generations through the healing power of music. This program connects young people with older adults in their community. By addressing the unique needs of both youth and seniors, YES promotes mutual understanding, reduces isolation, and inspires a vibrant sense of community.
