What is an Open Tender?
The Open Tender is a process for selecting the highest-quality medical equipment – devices that will not only perform reliably in hospital settings but also provide the most accurate diagnostic data, thereby supporting the health and treatment of patients. We are supported in this process – which often involves hours-long negotiations – by a team of medical experts and practitioners from relevant fields.
Experts involved in the 79th Open Tender included:
- Dr Michał Brzewski (Warsaw)

Each device is assessed by the committee in a three-stage process:
-
Initial presentation of the offer
-
Detailed review of the equipment’s specifications
-
Negotiations with each bidder on the proposed unit prices
This process ensures that WOŚP purchases only the most effective and suitable medical devices for Poland’s children and palliative care patients.
