음악가, 그 중에서도 싱어송라이터는 자신의 이야기를 멜로디와 가사로 이루어진 노래(song)라는 형태에 담아내는 사람들이다. 그들은 음악이라는 매개로 자신의 이야기를 사람들에게 들려 준다. 모든 창작자는 자신의 이야기를 하는 사람들이다. 창작자의 작업은 자신의 이야기를 찾는 과정이고, 그것을 담아낼 그릇을 빚어내는 일이다.
이야기는 그 이야기를 가진 사람의 대체 불가능한, 고유한 존재를 드러낸다. 또한 이야기는 나와 타인을 연결한다. ‘나'의 이야기는 타인에게 닿아 또다른 이야기를 만들어내기도 한다. 우리는 여성이고 음악가인 사람들을 만들어 온 이야기를 통해, '이야기에 대한 이야기'를 하고자 한다.
그렇게 다섯 명의 여성 싱어송라이터를 한 사람 한 사람 만났다. 편집자 소연과 승리가 묻고, 성진영, 슬릭, 신승은, 이랑, 이호 다섯 사람이 각각 자신의 삶을 들려 주었습니다. 인터뷰 이후 이들 음악가들은 노래를 만들었다. 인터뷰를 통해 들여다본 자신의 이야기를 멜로디와 노랫말에 담았다.

Musicians, especially singer-songwriter, are people who capture their stories in the form of songs composed of melodies and lyrics. They tell people their stories through the medium of music. Every creator is a man who tells his story. A creator's work is a process of finding his own story and creating a vessel to capture it.
The story reveals the irreplaceable, unique existence of the person with the story. Also, the story connects me with others. The story of "I" reaches out to others and creates another story. We're going to talk about 'story' through stories that have created people who are women and musicians.
So I met each of the five female singer-songwriter. Editors Soyeon and Seungri asked, and five people, Sung Jin Young, SLEEQ, Shin Seung Eun, Lang Lee and eeeho, each told their lives. After the interview, the musicians wrote songs. Their story, which I looked into through interviews, was written in melody and lyrics.
