Shocked by Jr NTR’s First Impression
Recalling their first encounter, Dev said he was surprised to see Jr NTR carrying such weight despite being positioned as the leading hero. He said, "Jab maine unko dekha na, main ghabra gaya." Dev remembered thinking that the young actor did not fit the conventional image of a hero. Still, he admitted he was equally impressed by Jr NTR’s natural ability to dance, emote, and connect with the audience on screen. Dev described how, despite his physical appearance at the time, Jr NTR managed to leave a strong impression with his extraordinary talent and energy.Praising His Transformation
The actor went on to highlight how Jr NTR has reinvented himself physically over the years. Recently, Dev came across a video of Jr NTR flaunting a sculpted physique with six-pack abs. Expressing pride, he noted how the Telugu superstar had completely transformed from his earlier days and now appears leaner and fitter than ever. According to Dev, Jr NTR’s evolution reflects not only hard work but also a dedication to his craft.Dev also reflected on the way Telugu cinema has changed since those early years. He recalled how films from that period were often loud and dramatic. Yet, despite the cinematic style, he felt that actors like Jr NTR were uniquely gifted and managed to stand out. Comparing the admiration they received to a blessing from Goddess Saraswati, Dev observed that some performers reach a stage where they become irreplaceable.
Upcoming Projects
On the work front, Rahul Dev is gearing up for his next big project, Welcome To The Jungle, directed by Ahmed Khan. The ensemble cast includes Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty, Sanjay Dutt, Anil Kapoor, Paresh Rawal, Jacqueline Fernandez, Disha Patani, Lara Dutta, Shreyas Talpade, and Tusshar Kapoor. The film is slated for release in December this year.Meanwhile, Jr NTR is busy with his much-awaited film Devara. The makers have also confirmed that a sequel is in development, although its release date has not been announced yet.
