Like someone else said, take an OG switch.

• If you want a good screen you may look at the OLED model.
• If you don’t care and are on a budget you may find one for 100€ on second hand marketplaces.

It’s not a powerful system but the library is worth it for a living room/family experience IMO.

Just don’t take the switch light as it lacks support for TV output.

How fitting

Currently playing through the game so that was unexpected. Spoilerfree The good:

• (Really good) Faster loading times
• More gfx options
• Free outfits from founder edition
• More missions apparently (still going through the base game so idk)

The bad:

• Lip sync is still broken in engine cinematic

The ugly:

• You now have to sign EULA
• Menu ad for Alan Wake 2 and DLCs

I get it, it’s 2025 but 2 days ago I was praising the game to a friend about how player friendly the game was and how it felt like a game and not an app.

Honestly I’m fine with this as long as the graphics justifies the framerate.

Microsoft ain’t no competitor, they don’t play fair at all. Not like the others do. But they don’t even make good games. They just buy random stuff and hope windows stays the only platform where gamers go. Which should change with steam. Buy one for the living room, oled or standard. Then, if requests / frustrations about playing asynchronously piles up. Consider buying another for the most invested of all. Take physical copies also. They’re easier to share.
