I would think the tech bros running things would want more people to train their models on.

Games@lemmy.world•Clair Obscur: Expedition 33. First time pay attention to the songs and I cried. This is the game that I cry over so many times. This is what I think about the game. Spoiler alertEnglish
7·9 months agoAt first I was frustrated by the dodge parry mechanics but they grew on me. I usually don’t have very good reflexes but I kept at it and actually got pretty skilled to the point where I beat the extra bosses. The music is brilliant and the world is so beautiful and the voice acting is perfect. Such a magnificent game.

Steam Hardware@sopuli.xyz•Half-Life 3 is just the hot exclusive Valve needs to propel SteamOS past Windows
7·1 year agoI think if they did a special launch on SteamOS and made it super polished it would be a nice demonstration… Or maybe an exclusive demo or minigame or something along those lines. They did some nifty stuff for VR this way and it got people pretty hyped about it for a while back when Vive launched.
Are they still storing passwords in plaintext?

Mildly Infuriating@lemmy.world•5 days with new phone number - 84 spam callsEnglish
6·1 year agoThis happened to me when I received a cell for work. I ended up fully silencing the phone and giving important co-workers my personal number instead. The spam calls have only recently started to slow down… I’ve had the number for 10 years.

I tried myq for about 5 minutes before dumping it in the trash and getting a RatGDO. it’s been great.
It reminds me in a lot of ways of FFXIV. It was made by a lot of the same people so that’s no surprise. It’s fairly dark but it’s a good story. The expansions are way too short - I had hoped they’d add more depth to some of the back story.
I enjoyed the game a lot in spite of its shortcomings. It doesn’t have as much “extra stuff” to do as many other final fantasies but the core game is solid.
I ended up picking up the PC version to play through again. The PS5 version is held back a lot by the platform.

I don’t know much about these specific services but this is the kind of behavior I’d expect to see if you’ve got a data synchronization service running and the clocks are out of sync. Like if it thinks an action was taken in the future that was actually in the past. Might be useful to check time zone configs and any other synchronization-related items.
